and why do you think one more than the other one?

I believe both as I know guys who behave like women, they like to spread secrets or things a woman ask them to keep it a secret at the end the guy tells his best buddies about it. The guy does not know the term "being discreet or do not tell", he has to tell the best buddy

How can we earn the trust of a man in this case? I mean that really this guy won't spread any rumor of anything. I mean they could say "sure I won't tell" but eventually they could end up spreading the rumor to their best buddies.

Thing is I've liked this guy a long time but i have not actually made an effort towards him till recently. I was not making an effort towards him but nor anyone else bc i liked him, so its been a long time even if i int do anything.

on the one hand its been so long i feel like i should just move on just bc of the time. but as far as the effort I've put in its like we just met. so I don't know what to do?

I was not playing games with him, i just had difficulty acceptin certain things about myself i did not realize until i deployed feelings for him, and it took me a few years to sort out.

anyhow we both still like each other but im sure he doesn't trust me too much, so itd take time earning trust probably more time than just meeting a new person. i think im at a point where im ready to date, slowly, and I've never dated at all, so im not sure if i should work on things with him or move on?
