There is this boy that I talk to sometimes in the back of math. We don't talk all the time (when we do it's mostly about homework) but sometimes he would tease me or just joke around me. For example on Friday we had to take a test (I sit behind him btw) when he went to hand me the test he wouldn't let go for a minute. He eventually did and when I looked up he did a little goofy smile. When class was dismissed I was talking to a friend about how I was planning on getting accepted to this collage and he just said "no" and laughed (he does this a lot). This boy is pretty shy and doesn't really talk to anyone unless being talked to or with his friends.

We met over the summer and he later befriended my brother also. He is 13 months younger than me but I am a little immature (unless I need to be otherwise) and get along with younger people maybe cuz that's what I have been around. But I have choir and study hall with him and he will look at me and I will sense it and look back and he most of the time (when I dont look away blushing like crazy) smiles at me. He is sometimes shy mostly when there is a lot of people I recently noticed because he was looking at me after the teacher said partner up for a assignment and he was upset cuz he couldnt go to the school movie later that day and when I sat by him he seemed happier especially when I gave him something from the movie after school. I have noticed depending on who he is around (we hang with different groups) like when he is alone with me or around people he doesn't care about (which the second one is rare) he will be more flirty and tease me and act cute. But when he is around his cousin (which he tries to impress and sadly looks up to even tho they r the same age) his mom and dad like me (I'm friends with his sissters and younger brother which one of the sisster and his younger brother admitted to likeing me and I'm am straight so I said no to the girl and I dont like kids more than 1 MAYBE 2years younger) during summer when we would go out and play basketball with my brother and him he would try to impress me and while we would go outside and hangout he would , everyone said, that he would mouth that he likes me. But he also said he liked this girl at a different school who (how he described) was total opposite of me but then he after talking about her and me getting (so stupidly obviously but not in a bad way) jealous he liked my reaction and after ward he said she said no to him. He will also start saying certain words how I say them (like how i say fity instead of fifty) or how j call everything "dope". Also he will get mad at me when I say something "mean".

I kind of like a guy but I’m not sure if he likes me back and is shy, or if he’s just using me as an ego boost because he likes the attention he’s getting. I think he’s shy because whenever I notice him looking at me I hold his eye contact until he looks away and his eyes flutter down like he’s nervous. But then I wonder if he’s using me because once I start to lose interest and ignore him, I notice that he shows up around me more and looks at me like he’s checking to see if I’m looking. (Which I’m not, I just notice when he’s in my line of vision). It’s like the less I look at him the more he looks at me and whenever I start reciprocating eye contact he goes back to completely avoiding eye contact and looking straight ahead.

Alright, 4 months ago (October) me and my crush started flirting with each other but never really made any serious moves. We’re both really awkward, shy, and dorky. But recently, two weeks ago, he told me he liked me. Over text of course 🤦🏽‍♀️ And I told him I liked him back. Anyways, ever since, he hasn’t really done anything. I expected for him to maybe ask me out, but he didn’t. We’re back to where we started, when were both quiet and awkward around each other. Should I just move on? I don’t want to, but it might be for the best. I can’t be in a relationship if all I’m going to do is wait for him. What if I’m waiting for nothing? What if I just end up getting hurt because he never did anything about it? Or what if he was lying about his feelings? No, he’s not like that. Oh and here’s the thing, I’m 16 and he’s 14 so maybe I’m just being stupid. He’s younger and doesn’t exactly know what to do I suppose. So maybe I should wait? I don't know. Being a teenager sucks !!
