she is 17 years old she has a driver's permit but can't drive because her dad doesn't always have time to teach her, she is not good at socializing, she can't look at people in the eye without forcing herself, she has no friends, she failed her sats, she is graduating hs with a 2.8 GPA and got accepted to a community college for 4 years, she never had a job before but really wants one and applied for them, she doesn't know how to have a proper conversation, is often unmotivated, tries to do her work , generally has all Bs and Cs in school, is incredibly lonely, is always late, is not a bad person, is caring, can be a little whiny sometimes and have an attitude

People make me feel like something is wrong with me because I'm 28 years. old and not married, especially in my Latino culture.

I've been in abusive relationships, so I'm not in no rush in getting married even if people think that I should hurry. I just want to heal from past trauma and continue to learn to love myself as long as it takes. I rather wait long than marry the wrong guy. I'm currently a graduate student at a top school. I'm the first in my family to graduate high school and pursue higher education, so education and bettering myself economically is a priority.

Although I believe that my life is heading in the right path, people seem to see me in a negative light that I'm not married nor have children.

They say I'm pretty and that no guy is going to want me if I wait too long... I get it, but what can I do? I don't want to marry just any gut that gives me attention just to make people not talk or because I feel lonely. It's hard to find marriage material people to marry in general.

Why do people keep asking if I'm married... is it because societal pressure on women is hard on us?

Do men get societal pressure to marry as much as women?
