Ladies are you offended if a man approaches you if you are alone in public or at the gym and asks if you're seeing anyone or want to go for coffee? I prefer to be honest about my intentions and not get stuck in the 'friend zone' so I make my intentions known upfront. If women reject me I move on. I'm not exactly a manwh*re and I've only kissed one woman and dated two at age 25, and I am abstinent.

Men, fat women and uglies don't need to answer this question.

Recently I realized that I don't do well with women or with people in general. People just tend to not like me for some reason. A man I used to know said it doesn't matter how much I meditate or go to the gym. Or how much I read or that I volunteer. He said a quiet personality and a lack of approaching women will condemn me to failure and a life of being misunderstood and lonely.

This bothers me because I'd like to be a father someday. My Dad said certain people aren't cut out for being loved and he never told me that he approved of me. Neither did mother or my brother. In school I was excluded but not bullied. Same where I work, people just dislike me for some reason. At a church I went to when I wanted to give religion a try, I was asked to leave because someone believed I was carrying demons with me. I left because I don't like making people feel uncomfortable, which is also why I tend not to approach women.

So what's holding me back?
