So me and this girl met in the beginning of the year, we work together and things have been pretty cool. Recently things have warmed up between us and have been getting flirtatious, even other coworkers have caught on. I even overheard her talking to another female coworker about me (I’m pretty muscular). She’ll always ask me if I’m coming in the next day or when is she going to see me next.
One particular time I went to sit and talk with her after my shift (we’ve been doing that recently) and I heard her on video chat with someone else talking about maybe seeing them on the weekend. But then quickly dismissed them and hung up when I said yeah I think I’m gonna head out.
She said “When’s the next time I’ll see you?”
I just said hmm probably next week, I’ll catch you later and left.
This is what made me start to question things.
The next week I came in and I was intentionally being distant. One day, me, her and a few coworkers were sitting together so I brought up the idea of relationships. Just to investigate. During the conversation she claimed that she was single.
So I thought maybe I’ve just been overthinking things from the week prior.
Later I spoke with her alone and I told her that I feel me and her have a good connection and maybe we should go out sometime.
She told me that she wanted to be honest with me and that she actually had been dating someone for the past two months. She said she wants to be fair and give him a chance. But she also mentioned that it’s been hard to find someone who wants to commit.
I had no problem with it and I said it’s cool and I wouldn’t mind keeping things where they are at.
But now that a few weeks passed after that I’ve been friendly but also distant. Yet she’s been even more flirtatious with me, compliments about how I look, how I smell, including physical touching like rubbing my back or my leg. Getting even more personal with the conversation. Getting lunch together at work?
Some of this has me confused on her intentions.

So I've been a skater since I was a kid and there's always been questionable fashion choices within the skater culture since the beginning. And shoes are no exception but it doesn't matter because they don't last long from the abuse of skateboarding and rubbing on grip tape aka sandpaper. So usually I would get a 2nd pair to wear casually so I wasn't walking around with holes in my shoes. In the last year or so I wanted to get some nice dress/casual boots that I could go for hikes or random nights out/dates or actually have something that had traction in the rain/snow. What I've notice is I get treated better and I notice I get positive attention from guys and girls when I'm dress like some rugged wannabe cowboys, I get it and I understand to a certain extent but it seems as if when I wear my sneakers I'm ignored but when I wear my boots with something that suits them I have an extra bit of presence and women are more flirtatious with me... I just find it all so trivial and stupid, of course I do other things to maintain myself or look good but I find it so bizarre that something so simple can change other people's perspectives of me.
