•This is mostly towards female catfishes, i;m not interested in men so i could care less if they catfished and i have no idea how to spot a male catfish.
Here are some things to look out for

•When they're a new user and their pms are open.
New users obviously don't know how to turn their messages public unless they've been here before.

•If they ask questions about sex only
women aren't as open about sex so if all they do is talk about it then most likely its a catfish.

•If they flirt with you and don't even know your name
A real woman would rather cut her arm off before she flirts with you and doesn't even know you,
when they use this emoji "😉" They are practically screaming "i'm fake"

You could literally type "catfish" in google and find the picture they're using.

... i dont even think i have to say anything about that.

its 2017... nintendo DS cameras are literally better than this, flip phones are better than this..
there's no reason why the quality should be so bad...
unless they are trying to keep you from being able to find the original picture...
In order to find an original picture it must be high quality or the computer won't recognize it.

& last but not least

•When you ask them to prove its them.
they will send you a "selfie" then right after that ask them to close one of their eyes and take it again
they will either get mad or block you.

its not going to kill them to close an eye and send a different picture if its really them

Its important to be able to spot catfishes because they're very harmful
they could trick you and get things from you, then pretend to be you and cause a lot of mayhem
so beware and make sure you can spot them.

I was surprised to find my repeated opinions on accountability tend to be controversial with a lot of disagreement.

My main controversial statement is that poor behavior is inexcusable no matter what. It doesn't even matter if someone is incapable of controlling it. From my standpoint, no one was ever able to do anything other than what they already did anyway, since I don't believe in free will.

Yet they misbehaved and therefore they must be held accountable for their actions. They cannot say, "I behaved poorly because [...]" in any way that gives them a free pass for their misbehavior.

The possible reasons include PMS, PMDD, IBS, psychological disorders, a history of childhood abuse, high sex drive, drunkenness, or anything else. None of these excuse outright misbehavior.

Is this such a controversial view? Is it a cultural difference?

For those who disagree, under what circumstances do you think should outright misbehavior (belligerence, violence, cheating on a serious partner, etc.) be given a free pass?

It's not your fault, but it's not anyone elses. If your S. O. treated you that way every month how would you feel?

I'm talking about random messages from people you haven't really talked to. Not people you talk to regularly.

I get them rarely, maybe once a month since I've been here. Also, I've never sent a random PM to anyone that hadn't messaged me first.
