A VERY Quiet Employee at my local supermarket has been low-key checking me out for a couple of months.

When he handed me some produce I bought, he looked me in my eyes and let me know, albeit silently, that he was interested.

I also see him watching me go about my shopping in the store. If he sees me come in he will busy himself with something then calmly wait for me to pass by.

He never has trouble making eye contact but he isn't a talker and will only respond if I say hi and make a bit of chit chat.

I decided to ask one of his colleagues about him on a day he wasn't working. I specifically asked if he was married.

The Colleague starting saying he wasn't sure and then said he knows he has problems. Then he gave some very specific details about how long he has had problems but then went back to saying he didn't know much.

Then the Colleague asked me whether or not I was married. I told him I was divorced to which the Colleague replied instantly "oh you too". 🤨

The Colleague is married so he wasn't referring to himself. He then said to take his number so he could "help me".

I'm not asking for a bunch of pontification on what I should or shouldn't do just whether you think the Quiet Employee is divorced or not.

My hunch is that the Colleague knows more than he is letting on because he doesn't want to put the Quiet Employee's business out there.

But with my "luck" he is just another married dude staring at females.
