hi everyone,
so I met this guy a couple of weeks back. I was out in the city going shopping and noticed a guy helping out at one of the places. when I had least expected it he suddenly approached me, we started talking and he asked me for my number and told me that I caught his eye. he was very nice and sweet about it so I did. he texted me just a week later and asked me out on a date, and we agreed on a place and time the next day. unluckily he had to cancel tho due to college related issues, in my opinion he was kind about canceling our date as he let me know early enough so I could reschedule my plan for that day. he seemed quite sad about canceling. anyways, he didn’t reschedule, so I asked him if he wanted to catch up at another point in time.. he replied a couple days later saying that he’s very stressed out atm but will call me after everything has soothed off. I know from him and other people that pretty much all work and study has been done for this year now - official deadline was two days ago. he hasn’t called me yet though. honestly did I get fooled? I believed him first time he cancelled. college stress seems like a fair reason to cancel a first date, esp as some private troubles added to it on top as he mentioned. wouldn’t he have reached out to me already tho if he was honest with me? he seemed all excited when he first came up to me. why put all that effort into getting a stranger girls number and initiating contact to then just play her? Any ideas? should I wait … he could still be occupied with other things … don’t expect to be his priority really. yet he wanted to get to know me in the first place, and he caught my interest as well. if I texted him now asking if he’s still on for another “first date”, wouldn’t that be inappropriate? don’t wanna be clingy, or needy, or anything like that. honestly I don't know what to think now. should I just forget him? thanks in advance
