Hi there!

Me [35M] work as administrative role in our department, which a new girl[23F], meantime she has her school holidays, began her part-time job just over summer.
Since we're working in a big department, but in separated areas, we're not bumping in each other every hour, maybe except during lunch break, coz we share same canteen. To me she's cute, I'm old.

First encounter
In the beginning of this week, she pops up in my office coz she had some problem with her profile account. So in order for her to show me, she had to logon from my computer, so I moved away a bit to give her space.
After she was done, I rolled back so could start a short troubleshoot on what was going on.
But I noticed something with her behavior.
She didn't back away when I started working (that's what people usually do?), I mean, my office is big and she had plenty of room to casually back off..
So she just stood there very, veery close, like we could with no problem play a game on my computer using same keyboard..
Short after she had to logon again, just to clarify, so I moved away again, but this time "not so far".. So I expected her to try to reach over from where she stood to my keyboard, or just move the keyboard to her so she could easier type.. But nope she went just in front of me and start typing.
Her current position; she could just turn around and sit in my lap... WTF?

And then everything seems good, so she left back to her work.

Second encounter - Coffe machine
We got two machines; I was waiting for mine to be ready and she came and ordered hers.
So I had to ask her if everything is going well now since my high leveled supportexpertise saved her day, and gave her a smirk.
She laughed (giggled?) a bit and said yes, and looked on me very fast and then looked away.
Then I noticed she was super red in her face, blushing (?).. She didn't blush when she was in my office?

Am I overanalyzing things?
Coz now I instead confusing myself and need help.

Supreme Court Agrees To Hear Controversial Gun Case That Could Allow Abusers To Possess Guns

The Supreme Court agreed Friday to settle the question of whether domestic abusers subject to protective orders can possess guns, when it agreed to review United States v. Zackey Rahimi — a hugely controversial case that may help clarify widespread confusion over how to interpret the court’s bombshell Second Amendment ruling from last year.

The court issued a new standard for judging the constitutionality of gun laws in last year’s Bruen v. New York State Rifle and Pistol Association, which overturned a New York law dating back to 1911 that barred people from carrying a handgun without a license. Under that law, New York could deny a license to applicants who failed to prove they faced a specific threat.

The ruling written by Justice Clarence Thomas and supported by the court’s five other conservatives said the law infringed on the right to bear arms. The decision also trashed the old standard of balancing interests like public safety against an individual’s Second Amendment rights, instead dictating that firearm restrictions are constitutional only when they’re “consistent with this Nation’s historical tradition of firearm regulation.”

Supreme Court Unfreezes Louisiana Redistricting Case That Could Boost Power Of Black Voters

The Supreme Court on Monday lifted its hold on a Louisiana case that could force the state to redraw congressional districts to boost Black voting power.

The order follows the court’s rejection earlier in June of a congressional redistricting map in Alabama and unfreezes the Louisiana case, which had been on hold pending the decision in Alabama.

In both states, Black voters are a majority in just one congressional district. Lower courts had ruled that the maps raised concerns that Black voting power had been diluted, in violation of the landmark federal Voting Rights Act.

The justices put the Louisiana case on hold and allowed the state’s challenged map to be used in last year’s elections after they agreed to hear the Alabama case.

The case had separately been appealed to the 5th U. S. Circuit Court of Appeals in New Orleans. The justices said that appeal now could go forward in advance of next year’s congressional elections.

Giuliani Ordered to Pay Georgia Election Workers’ Attorney Fees

Rudy Giuliani was ordered to pay the attorney fees of two Georgia election workers suing him for defamation, after a judge found he failed to comply with his obligations to turn over evidence in the case.

US District Judge Beryl Howell entered an order on Friday directing Giuliani to cover what it cost the lawyers for Ruby Freeman and her daughter Wandrea “Shaye” Moss to pursue their successful motion to compel him to produce information.

The order doesn’t specify the amount he’ll owe; the judge directed the plaintiffs to disclose that in a later filing. Howell wrote that Giuliani had failed to show that his resistance to the plaintiffs’ discovery requests was “substantially justified,” which meant he was required to pay their attorney fees.

Freeman and Moss became the subject of 2020 post-election voter fraud conspiracy theories that Giuliani, former President Donald Trump, and other Trump allies promoted. Earlier this week, the Georgia State Election Board announced it had formally cleared Freeman and Moss of any wrongdoing.

Freeman and Moss had sued Giuliani in federal district court in Washington in December 2021. In recent months, their attorneys had argued to Howell that Giuliani was dragging his feet in turning over evidence and had failed to perform adequate searches.

Giuliani maintained that he tried to fulfill the evidence requests in good faith. But Howell wrote in her latest order that until the fight came before her, Giuliani had “arbitrarily limited” how he searched certain sources of information, performed “imprecise” manual searches of his electronic accounts, and delayed making productions.

Trump wants the $5 million he owes E. Jean Carroll held as cash, not as a bond, in a weird move that saves him just $55,000

In an unusual move that saves him just $55,500, Donald Trump has asked a federal judge in Manhattan to allow the $5 million he owes writer E. Jean Carroll to be held aside as cash, and not as a bond, while he appeals her May sex abuse and defamation trial victory.

It's a highly uncommon move, surety experts told Insider, noting that the only real benefit to going cash is the savings of a 1% bond premium.

"The only thing I could see as a reason for this is they don't want to spend the extra $55,000" to pay for the bond, said Mike Lapre, a senior vice president in the surety division of NFP, a global property and casualty broker.

"I guarantee there are companies that would write this bond for him," Lapre said. He noted that should the appeal drag out a year, the one-percent bond premium would have to be renewed, bringing Trump's cost to $110,000.

"He may just be trying to save a little money that way," Lapre told Insider.

Trump attorney Joe Tacopina filed the request Friday with US District Court Judge Lewis Kaplan, who presided over the defamation and sexual assault trial.

His law firm, Tacopina Seigel & DeOreo, is currently holding the $5,550,000 in trust, "which is 111% of the judgment amount and is consistent with the traditional security percentage of supersedeas bonds," Tacopina wrote the judge, using the legal name for appeal bonds.

His firm is prepared to "promptly" transfer that money to the court once the judge approves the cash-not-bond arrangement, he wrote.

Tacopina did not immediately respond to a request for comment. Carroll attorney Roberta Kaplan, who signed onto a proposed order for the judge to sign, allowing the arrangement, declined to comment.

Under the proposed order, the court would set up an interest-bearing account to hold Trump's $5.55 million.

It will only count on purchases above $30. So if your online order is $31 then your new total is $34.

This money will go to schools for betterment of education across all levels. Better salaries for teachers and improved infrastructure dramatically. All the schools will look like this in the photo or equivalent.

There will be an art school, music school and a lot of different types of subjects.

The way I see it is if you have money to buy things online then $3 wouldn’t really be much to you. This will be across all cities in America. Nobody will be left out. Everyone will have a great school.

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis squeezed in time for beer and offered up a pint “on the house” as he joined a former longtime Donald Trump ally in the wake of the ex-president’s alleged “food for everyone” fail.

Trump, after his arraignment on Tuesday, made the free food offer at Miami’s Versailles restaurant and reportedly left after about 10 minutes, “leaving no time for anyone to eat anything, much less place an order,” a source told the Miami New Times.

On Friday, DeSantis yelled out at a Nevada VFW post’s bar and asked if any of the veterans wanted a “draft on the house” before sipping a beer with a number of the men

The campaign stop occurred during a “veterans appreciation happy hour” in Reno featuring former Nevada Attorney General Adam Laxalt, a onetime avid supporter of Trump who now serves as a chairman of the Never Back Down political action committee that supports DeSantis.

Laxalt, who roomed with DeSantis during their time in naval officer training, was the co-chair of Trump’s 2020 campaign in Nevada and a staunch backer of Trump’s false voter fraud claims.

RNC shuts down Hutchinson's push to amend loyalty pledge amid Trump indictment drama

Top Republican Party officials have a message for any candidate worried about signing a loyalty pledge to potentially support a convicted felon: There’s the door.

Despite at least one candidate expressing concerns about the Republican National Committee’s requirement that they support the eventual nominee in order to qualify for the debate stage this summer, the committee said there will be no changes to its protocols.

In light of Donald Trump’s indictment for his handling of classified documents, former Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson’s campaign on Wednesday requested a meeting with RNC officials about amending the loyalty pledge, according to two people with knowledge of the conversation granted anonymity to speak candidly about a private conversation.

Members of RNC leadership arranged a call with Hutchinson on Thursday, but the former governor himself did not take part in the conversation, only a staff member. During the brief call, RNC leaders declined to make any changes to debate requirements and told the staffer the committee is “not dealing with hypotheticals” on Trump’s legal fate. One of the individuals with knowledge of the call described it as “contentious.”

In a statement, RNC senior adviser Richard Walters said the GOP primary candidates are only “being asked to respect the decision of Republican primary voters and support the eventual nominee.”
