Search Results: rushing into sex

So there's a lot of debate and controversy over adolescents having sex. People tie it to social customs, culture, religion, and more but for me it's a bit deeper than all of that.
Sexual pleasure will always be attainable: the special, refreshing delightful type of simplicity that is only found within youth will not. Plain and simple. Sex is the most replaceable thing on this planet. Everyone has a genital and most people are eager and willing to share theirs. You can even buy sex if you'd like. So why rush into something that will always be reachable throughout your life? Once your youth is gone, it's gone and the complex forces of adulthood will dominate your life until the day that you die.
Sex is going to complicate things emotionally and mentally wheter you'd like it to or not. It's not just some physical activity of recreation. Sex has the power to complicate things in ways that take away from your days. It can make moments and experiences shrink because it's ripple effect is so profound and in your face. It takes a highly developed, trained mind and spirit to know how to respond to the aftereffect of sex and realisitically: adolescent minds are not completely trained and developed. They are raging with hormones and major transformative phases. So for me, personally I don't believe adolescents should be having sex because the consequences, repercussions, and overall aftereffect shouldn't be something their limited youthful time should be spent on. OK, so here's the deal. I recently ended my 3 year relationship, and thought I was getting somewhere with someone else. Of course, the new guy wasn't the reason why I left my ex. I was cheated on and lied to and I just couldn't get over it. Anyhow, That's not why I'm here. I met this guy at work and of course he chased after me for about a month. Talking to my co-workers about me and eventually talking to me. Everything was great, he was simply an amazing friend and we had tons in common. He's call me to check on me and even gave great advice regarding my breakup. We eventually did get to the point were we admitted we liked each other but weren't sure where we'd be going. Well it all changed drastically. We did sleep together eventually but things were the same. He was still as sweet as ever. He had me meet his friends, I'd pick up his keys from work and we'd hang out and talk all night. I felt like he was turning me into a girlfriend but of course he never introduced me with that title. I didn't want to get to attached so I started acting a little bit different. I simply didn't want him to feel like I "needed" him. I'd rush him off the phone, I wouldn't text him as much, and I got a little mouthy because he called me "babe" via text and such. I know I sound a little crazy but he was really moving quickly for me emotion-wise. After all that, he was still OK. We talked but not as much, but the sex was still amazing. All of a sudden, everything changed. Now we barely talk, not even at work. And we only text when we want to hang out. But thing is we never get through a movie. Things have gotten really predictable and he stops texting back if I tell him I can't come over. He was really amazing a first, at least as a friend. We no longer have conversations, it's more "Hey." "What are you doing?" "Stop by." He constantly cancels plans now. I kind of want to see where this would go but I'm frustrated because it feels like I'm being turned into a glorified booty call. Help!
