Search Results: the point of giving up

For about the second time, money has gone short from the register at this family owned and largely run business. The first time it was about 80 dollars over two days (I was working those days) I think and now in a 5 hour period, 70 dollars went missing with 3 people including me working the shift. One being his own daughter. He called once his daughter informed him of the shortage and told me and my coworker he doesn't really think anyone is stealing but that we need to make sure we're giving back correct amounts of money to customers.
Last time this happened my hours got shortened greatly. I'm the newest person there but I am not that incompetent at the register. I ask questions throughout the day when I'm unsure and if anything I would overcharge people.

I feel awkward thinking he might suspect it's me. We have camera's pointed at the register. Should I send him an email telling him that I cannot fathom me being that terrible at the register and I'm sorry for the missing money, and maybe my next shift someone should watch me the whole time to know I don't mess up that badly. Anything that needs to be done to clear suspicion of me?

Business was slow when I started my shift this afternoon, how could I possibly give back 70 dollars change in total to only about 15-20 customers when the register tells me the amount to give back?

I was hired at a pharmacy. I am very skilled for my role. Viewed with respect by pharmacists.

Anyway at this pharmacy the "HR" (who personally I don't think is fit to run a gas station) came under the belief despite damn good references (shows how stupid) I moved around due to not being able to keep my job. In reality it was to gain skills / knowledge.

Anyway HR and the owner put me on a contract that was basically the lowest position in pharmacy - couldn't even order supplies - whereas I am trained to a degree I am just below a pharmacist. Their staff didn't communicate properly, etc. Not enough hours, etc. And as I couldn't do my job properly - complemented by their shoddy (I'd even call them useless as by far the worst I've worked with) staff - of course, I was canned.

At the end, the idiot HR was saying I was stressed. So I emailed them recently and said no wasn't stressed when someone who is efficient & adept in any industry can not do their job properly they get fed up very quickly. I even referred to the role I had as near pointless. And said if it'd been anywhere else would've walked straight out the door long before the end of the first month.

As I don't need them in my resume I was flat-out blunt. And nicely pointed out because of their stupidity / ignorance they fucked themselves over by not giving their most adeptly trained employee aside from a pharmacist the ability to do the job correctly.
