I wonder do you find turtlenecks strange in a way? I've read it's more common among women now so that it is considered more of a feminine wardrobe piece but it was originally made for men.

I like the style a lot if matched well with the rest of the outfit (the simpler the better in my opinion). I prefer more form fitting but without being skin-tight = that I find quite strange looking on guys.

I like them paired with leather jackets or on its own, sometimes a blazer though I prefer the rocker style over smart style.

Just in case → those who may not know exactly what that is, turtlenecks are sweaters/jumpers with high neckline or also a mock neck (short unfolded turtleneck).

I’ve been talking to this guy from a dating app for a little over a month. We’re both PhD students in extremely demanding fields, which also makes things hard. Let me just jump into what’s been going on:

Pros:
-he asked for my number as soon as we matched
-asked me on a great first date (said he wanted to see me again after that)
-from the beginning texts me good morning pretty much every morning (except for a couple)
-texts me throughout the day
-acts supportive whenever I have a lot going on

Cons:
-I had to ask for date #2
-he’s updated his dating app maybe 2 days ago
-he’s also been busier for a few days (moving into a new place with his roommate). I asked him if something was up because he slowed down/stopped texting for a day or two but he apologized and went back to the usual texting
-As of right now because we’re both winding down the academic year, there’s no plan for #3 yet (#2 was a little over a week ago).

I will say, I updated my profile a couple weeks ago solely to have backups because I don’t want to get hurt. However, I think I’ve been clear that I’m really into him. I also overthink and I’ve been going back and forth with whether he’s into me or not (he could literally tell me he loves me and I still wouldn’t be sure, I’m an anxious person 💀)

Does it seem like he’s into me? And should I be worried that he updated his dating profile (like is this normal to do while you like someone or he’s probably slow fading/not very into me)? If I’m also wayyy overthinking, I’d also like to know. Thanks!

I’ve been off the dating apps since the end of last yr. I have my profile on hidden, only matches are able to reach me. Recently, this rando sent a follow up message last month. He asked to message on Snapchat because he didn’t check the app often. I add him, there were times where he’d take hours to reply. He justified that he works in fire safety and does not have time to reply often in the day. Sometimes he’d take an hr, sometimes he’d take 8. I had enough and just removed him as a friend on SC. Within an hr, he msgs me on the dating app saying that he was trying to message me to ask if I’d like to meet up. That day was his day off and would have time to speak properly. He tried justifying his delayed replies and asked if we could text instead because that’s the quickest way to get hold of him. I think last week he tried adding me on SC again. I asked what he wanted & he wanted to see if we could pick up where we left off. I blocked him and that’s the end of that. I just met such flaky and weird guys on the dating apps, I have no expectations. More bad than good has happened & that’s why my account is on pause. I trust my gut for moving forward.
