The new “Inflation Reduction Bill” that passed is a complete oxymoron. It’s only going to increase inflation via more government spending and hurt the economy more with aggressive tax enforcement.

Also for all you idiots saying “they will go after wealthy corporations” you are wrong. Dead wrong. Corporation don’t “cheat” tax codes. They hire top of the line CPAs and tax attorneys that ensure they are legally paying as little as possible.

The IRS is now going to be doubled in size and will go after middle and working class Americans who don’t have the resources to hire A list CPAs to make sure they are doing taxes properly. It’s people who do taxes themselves or do turbo tax who make mistakes. It’s often small business owners who aren’t even rich in the first place that make mistakes and get audited.

House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) tried to stop passage of the Inflation Reduction Act on Friday by using a rhetorical question made famous by former President Ronald Reagan.

In the process, he forgot the lawyer’s No. 1 rule: Never ask a question you don’t know the answer to.

In a speech on the House floor, McCarthy asked, “Is America better off today than they were two years ago?” which referenced a question Reagan asked during a 1980 presidential debate with then-President Jimmy Carter.

Although McCarthy’s question was strictly a rhetorical device that he probably assumed would agitate Democrats, he probably wouldn’t like the answers Twitter users gave to his inquiry.

That’s because, though inflation remains an issue, things have drastically improved since 2020, when the country was being devastated by COVID-19 before vaccines were developed.

Yes , it will pay farmers not to grow food and less food. This will just inflate food prices more... Now If Democrats can't kill you when you were a baby , or kill you after 70, now they can just starve you to death.
