The "Inflation Reduction Act" needs a new name. One that fits exactly what it really is. What would you like to rename it?

It should be called the "Giant Waste of Money"
The socialist green deal economy crasher

It's the "Payoff for Every Faction of the Democratic Party Act." That may seem a bit harsh, but that is what in fact it amounts to. In part because the only way to get it through the Senate - and even the House, more about which, anon - was to make sure that every faction of the party got something to show for voting for the bill.
To start, the bill was not that popular. Typically, the public does not pay close attention to legislation and the efforts by the Biden Administration to tag the bill as its cure for inflation was really getting nowhere.
Still, the President needed a legislative victory and so Senate Majority Leader Schummer (D-NY) set about cobbling together a bill that would draw in ever faction of the party. Thus tax increases on business to satisfy Californian liberals. Thus, "green" measures to assuage the environmentalist wing of the party. Most astonishingly, a massive increase in the size and budget of the IRS. (It will now be larger than the State Department and the Pentagon staff combined.) This to assuage Democrat conservatives who wanted to be able to say that the bill would reduce the deficit. In effect, increased tax enforcement will compensate for increased spending and a relative dearth of spending cuts.
In the end, the bill did not - and does not - amount to much. The Congressional Budget Office (CBO) already projects that the bill will have a minimal impact on inflation one way or the other and its main purpose will be to allow the Biden Administration to show that it has a trophy on the wall.
Of course, all of this might not have happened had Senator Manchin (D-WV) not agreed to vote for the bill in return for certain mining rights and the creation of a natural gas pipeline in his home state. Manchin is an old school "New Deal" Democrat - which in this day and age gets him tagged a "conservative Democrat." His state is socially conservative and heavily blue collar, with an economy heavily dependent on the mining and drilling industries.
Suffice to say, "mining and drilling" do not go down well with "the Squad" - those very liberal Members, mainly in the House, though Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT) and Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) are effectively honorary Members - who are supportive of a package of legislation called "The Green New Deal." The goal of which is to end all carbon emissions by the United States. Suffice to say, that would put a lot of Senator Manchin's constituents out of a job.
So Manchin was offered a deal and agreed to vote for the bill. Unfortunately, what Manchin did not plan on was the Senate parliamentarian ruling his provisions in the bill out of order. The bill is what is called a "reconciliation bill." To oversimplify, it deals in money matters and its advantage is that it cannot be filibustered. Its' disadvantage is that it cannot include "non-monetary" policy matters.
So Manchin - and West Virginia - will end up taking it on the chops for this bill. For most Americans - other than perhaps raising their taxes at the margins - it will not mean very much. It is more government that Americans love to say that they hate even as they will not countenance any serious reduction in government. It will leave inflation largely unaffected and it will give President Biden something to hang his hat on.
Rinse and repeat.
It is the Democrats "Spending Money Is Better Than Sex" Act.
The "Gasoline Over Forest Fires Act."
Pretend to "fix" a problem you directly made, by making it ten times worse and making Americans suffer even more. Because that is, unironically, part of the plan after all! "Destroy America by any means necessary" is what Xi Jinping and/or Klaus Schwab told the Biden administration to do, after all.
"The best we could get given that not a single Senate Republican will vote for anything that improves their constituents' lives act."
It increases taxes on corporations, funds the IRS to be able to ensure taxes owed are actually paid, reduces the deficit, reduces drug prices and spends money on ensuring people can afford health insurance and to help the United States reduce net greenhouse gas emissions to 50% below 2005 levels by the year 2030.
Spending more money to stop inflation is like fucking to keep virginity!
Maybe we should call it "Putin's Inflation Fix". If he's gonna get all the blame, he should also get all the credit! Joe sure as fuck ain't helping, at all!!

''Fix yesterday's fuck ups''
or
''Make America Great Again''
Haaaaah haaaaah harrrrrrrr.
It is true "Inflation and problems in general reduction act" is probably more fitting.
Reducing the deficit, laying down infrastructure needed for energy independence, thus stabilizing gas/energy prices, putting the brakes on climate change thus reducing how much is thrown at disaster recovery, and taxing billionaires to pay for it instead of just adding it to the debt.
Oh, you were asking because you want to push far right disinformation, not because you wanted to know. I see. There is no point in "trying again." You're just another troll in a cult desperate to tell dumb lies because you know no one is stupid enough to vote Republican based on merit..
