If you could make something a law or an Act, what would you like to see become a new law in America and what would you name it?

Luckely Im not living in Amerika but if I would live there my new law would be in the food (poison) industry.

I would inmedietly ban all GMO foods and I would ban all non-eatable chemicals being used in the production of foods. The penalty would for violating that law would be long jail sentences.

I'm European and I'm shocked how incredibly poisonous Americans foods are. Most of the things you are all eating are toxic harmfull chemicals that tastes good. The USA is pro in making fake food that kills you slowly🤮☠

I think 🤔 that most of us are aware of some of what you're saying, but even so, they still eat it and make remarks about it like "We're all gonna die from something".
The food that is offered at our grocery stores doesn't have any obvious warnings ⚠️ on the package, so most of the time we don't know what we're really eating.
But I do know one thing for sure is that whatever they're putting in our food supply is making a lot of Americans over weight.
In fact airlines have had to revise the weight limits on jets and airplanes because they set the weight limit back 30+ years ago when most people were slim.
So when configuring the weight limits for each jet or airplane ✈️🛫 they were using the old configuration of approximately how much a person weighed years ago and didn't change it until more recently because planes were crashing due to too much weight and it would bring even big jets down.

Americans weigh who used to weigh around 160 lbs for a guy now weighs 185-200+ pounds (not all men but a lot more men now). It's probably due to the food we're eating that is bad for us.
My theory is supply and demand. We just have an over population of people now and they've had to improvise healthy ingredients for fillers in order to make enough food for everyone.

Please remember in recent years we have approximately 20-50 million more people in America due to illegals that are in America 🇺🇸 illegally. They have to eat too. And since coming to America some have had children born here and the supply and demand only increases.

America shouldn't depend on foreign countries to supply our food but they do. America needs to be growing and making our own food. Because God only knows what other countries put in our food that we don't even know about.

A second chance law, where criminals that were arrested for non-violent crimes can get a chance at life without going back to jail over and over again. Say someone made bad choices with drugs and is now clean. Never stole from anyone, never hurt anyone but themselves. Should they spend years in prison and have the stigma of having to work low paying jobs? Can’t these people turn into hard working professionals?

They don’t. They would have to have regular check ins with a probation officer and drug testing. Not that it’s cheap. But better than a long prison sentence that costs even more.

The Health Care, Mental Health, Housing, Immigration and Prisoner Access Act. It would guarantee basic access to health care for all citizens, and guaranteed affordable housing for all. Non-citizens in the process of getting green cards would also have access. But would be the last on the list.

I would like to see Immigration cases processed with rapidity for everyone in the system legally, or who have ever been in the system legally. Unless immigrants have egregious criminal histories, assault, drug or prostitution, theft records, they should be in the court system for processing if they have held gainful employment. Anyone here more than a decade would be eligible.

I want to see prisoners rehabilitated so they can return to being gainful citizens. If someone has paid their debt, that should be the end of payback. Not a prison record that prevents them from being gainfully employed. Maybe pedophiles might have to be prevented from having jobs with children, but what are the statistics with other paroled prisoners?

And prison education programs should be required. GED, college and practical training programs in carpentry, computers, plumbing.. etc.

Prisoners who are occupied with bettering themselves have a greater chance of doing well after prison.

All of this giant act is for the betterment of everybody in the country. I wonder if it would do good...

Also put a law about the time of day that leaf blowers can be used. Set an hour of the day like preferably in the afternoon around 3pm. Call it BLOWnow lol

My law would be… that anyone in law enforcement. Lawyers, judges, politicians and anyone remotely involved in enforcing the laws. Would receive at least double the amount of punishment that an ordinary citizen would receive.
