So, I just started working this new job and there is this guy I think is pretty dope. He's cute, funny and kinda weird like me. We get along and talk but I know that he just sees me as a friend. I know that I'm not his type because honestly I'm not anyone's type. I don't really have any ugly features but I'm not pretty. I mean I've tried to wear a little make up now and then but it never really makes a difference in the way I look. And in order for me to actually have any results that I might actually like I'd have to basically change my whole appearance. Which is not something I want to do. When someone steps to me I want them to do it because they see me as I am. I don't wear make up mostly because I'm hella lazy (I can't do a wing tip to save my life) I don't wanna go through all that shit that I be seeing girls go through with all the concealer, foundation eye liner and whatever else they be using, but also because I don't wanna hide or change myself to be with someone. Like I said I've realized that I'm not really anyone's type. And what I mean by that is that I've always been the best friend thats a girl and the people that do become interested in me are just plain weirdos. Some would say that I'm being picky but I don't think I am. Which brings me back to the guy I work with. I've always been attracted to guys are sort of out my league. Well muscled and tall and all that jazz. Imagine that with a small chubby girl with small eyes and a wide nose and u would say bad combo too. A lot of people would say I'm being too hard in myself but I'm just being a realist and speaking from experience. Men tend to look in the other direction when it come to me, and i don't know why. because I've seen women who are fatter than me or even uglier than me who significant others. So why is it so hard for me to want to be with someone and for them to want to be with me in return. Perhaps my standards are too high I don't know. Anyway my question is what do u guys think I should do about the work cutie?

Examples:
In the market where i work we are all 5s and 6s and date equally ugly and poor men of low status.
Our hot classmates from school, work in 5 star hotels and clubs in the islands etc, and date athletes etc.

Would a phd guy date a market chick? Or a researcher woman a guy without a degree? No

Would a girl that was raised with her violins and her horse riding etc date a poor ass guy who delivers coffees? He doesn't even have access to her society in any way. Not to mention her father would never allow it.

Would a supermodel date a truck driver or an officer? No

And countless other examples. How do people say things like leagues don't exist, its all over around socety.

everyone else pretty much already has their date set. My friend set me up with a guy who doesn't have a date and is just waiting for a yes from me. I've never talked to him we just have mutual friends. I think he is cute but others will agree i am way out of his league. I know thats a stupid excuse and it wouldn't hurt to give him a shot. Would going with him be better than going alone?
