So most people conform to the social nicety of telling someone they're attractive even when you only find them to be average to okay. Like most people aren't ugly to most people but most people avoid complete honesty in favor of comforting words when they're asked to comment on someone's appearance. Most guys I know would never think twice about telling their friend or SO they are average or not the most beautiful women they've ever seen but then at the same time we despise people who are shallow. Like wouldn't knowing that you're not the most physically attractive person your SO has seen prove that they're with you for more than your looks? So we react negatively to judging people based on looks but encourage the praise of beauty by insisting on lying about how physically attractive people are or are not. I'm just wondering if it would be healthier to just be brutally honest about people's looks or if keeping up the compliments would be better.

I'm not ugly but I'm not sexy either... I'm average.

I've always had a flair for the over-the-top & extravagant, I don't like to do something unless I give it my all and can make something unique out of it... so of course that transferred over to how I maintain my appearance.

BUT lately I just don't see the point anymore, with the way things have went in the past 5 months from a friend passing away to having a chance of starting a relationship with 2 different girls (one of which I had been interested in for years and then having her talk-down to me & remove me from her life) and not having anything going on... I just don't see the point anymore.

So on New Years Eve I walked into the bathroom cut my intricate facial hair to stubble, left the house to see people I knew and no one gave a shit & no one has really cared since - I know this sounds shallow but they always commented on my curly mustache/beard... I also miss my signature look.

And now I feel like I should finish the transformation by getting a second pair of clipper and cutting my long hair off to something boring and uniform.

And I'll I can do is ask myself - why shouldn't I?

***I also find it funny that most guys "I don't care anymore" look usually involves them growing their hair long and not cutting it while mine is the exact opposite (cutting it all off).***

For example, i dont look "sexy", but i dont look ugly. I like to make music ( not in the restroom, yes that what my parents called a #1 when i was little), make jokes, considered wise for my age but lack common sense, religious ( wouldn't be strict on you, but i would do all of my normal things). Oh, also you wouldn't be getting sex from me unless we got married. Whould you consider it?

Most girls who are attractive with makeup aren't attractive without it, they can go from ugly or decent looking to attractive. (I know there are girls who are pretty without makeup im not saying there arent)

but if they made makeup for guys appearance to make them more attractive would it work?
