So a girl and I have been keeping in touch for around 7 weeks. Met her when I was about to go away for work for an indefinite time (at least 2 weeks). Asked her out within 2 days for the same day but she couldn't do such short notice. She texted me a week later asking if I'd still like to meet - she wasn't aware of my scehdule Well, even I wasn't sure when I would be back. Told her I should hopefully be back for a short trip that weekend and she said to confirm plans when I'm back. I did but she had already planned a getaway trip. Nature of my work is very fickle and that's why I couldn't be certain of my plans.

We kept in touch through texting and the weekend before I was back, I reached out and asked her if she'd be free the weekend. Turns out she had friends in town and she counter offered with dates for later next week for which I was away. I told her I'd very much like to see her and asked if she could do any earlier days for that week. She said her plans happened to fall then and asked if we should fix a date for when I get back. I told her to choose a date. Settled on one that was a week later - didn't set up details.

3 days before the date, I checked in with her. Texted back and forth for a bit and in 1 message she just casually mentioned that she's leaving work (at 10pm), and she's having a crazy busy work week..
