Search Results: overreacting to a situation

So a couple weeks ago I had some strange symptoms and went to the doctor. They came back with a an unconclusive test and said they needed to take a larger sample to make sure it wasn't anything bad. So I went in for a second test. I let my boyfriend know of all of this. I got the results and they said that they needed to remove a tissue build up that had proven to be precancerous. Of course hearing this news freaked me out. I waited until I calmed down to tell me boyfriend. I texted him because he was at work that my results ended up showing I needed to have a small surgery done because they found precancerous cells, but that everything should end up being fine because they caught it early. He replied with a that's good news and went about his day. He was out of town and I gave him the benefit of the doubt thinking he should have called me when he could, but that he was probably busy. Then he started sending me pictures of him walking around the city just enjoying the day which upset me. Finally around 9:45pm I receive a call. I get upset saying I'm scared and it feels like he could care less. He said he didn't realize the extent of the situation and will def call next time anything like that happens to me... Awesome. Then gets upset with me when I won't let it go saying we need to focus on me getting better and not the negative. This all happened at the worst time because he only came home for a day in the meantime and had to go back out of town for a trip with his friend and work again. Last night he says he will call me right after his call at 3:00pm today. So today is the day of the procedure and it is scheduled at 2:00pm. At 1:57pm I for the first time hear from him and he texts me saying everything is going to be ok and not to worry. I was done at 3:00pm and he knew the length of it, but I also knew he had that meeting. At 5:00pm I send him a picture of me and shortly after he calls me. Since then I have received one text saying he hates that I am going through this and that was around 6:45pm. It is now 10pm my time. I'm sorry, but I feel like I mean nothing to him. If the person I cared about this especially when I was out of town I would be constantly checking on them or trying to keep their spirits up. So am I overreacting or is he being ridiculous? What would you do?

Gah, I'm fuming. My boyfriend (he's 26 and I'm 25 and together for almost a year) went out to celebrate a friend's birthday and ended up going partying afterwards. He was out with a group of people and a girl of this group, who is also his friend and classmate, got ridiculously drunk. She (girl 1) got to the point where she was puking all over herself for, according to him, two hours straight. So he and another female friend (girl 2) ended up going back to the friend's (girl 2) house. He was supposedly taking care of both of them since they were both drunk. He put this girl on the matrass and put a bucket next to her for her to puke, which at that moment, she has already stopped. Anyway, so girl 2 went to her driving license classes so she had to leave my boyfriend and girl 1 alone. My boyfriend sent me a message to tell me what was going on and that he is scared to leave girl 1 alone because she might choke on her puke and no one is there to look after her. I said, sure, he could stay to look after this girl. He said he will only stay for one hour. After that, I didn't hear from him again for two and a half hours. His excuse? He dozed off. Which, sure, I can understand since he has also been drinking and might have been tired. I was fuming. He and this girl are already pretty friendly and I would like to think that they have a healthy classmate friendship but beyond that, I don't really know the true "extent" of his friendship with her. I was pissed off because he volunteered to stay with this girl, didn't reply for 2,5 hours and just hate having to just rely on my trust in this situation.

Please give me your opinions and advice on this situation because I dont know whether I was overreacting or completely in my right to have been pissed the hell off.
