The student I'm talking about is the current top candidate for the French Presidency, Emmanuel Macron, who's married to Brigitte Trogneux, almost 25 years his senior. They first met at La Providence High School in Amiens, when he was a 15yo student in her class, and she was his 39yo teacher, married at the time to another man with three children. She taught Latin, he attended her literature classes and she was in charge of the theater class he attended. She is also rumored to be "one of the few people he trusts", attending all of his agenda meetings and instructing Macron every step of the way. Macron states that if he wins his bid on the French presidency, his wife "will have the role that she always had with me, she will not be hidden".“If I’m elected — no, sorry, when we are elected — she will be there, with a role, and a place,” Macron says. “I owe her a lot, she helped make me who I am.”
