Search Results: being comfortable with myself

So at the beginning, I would always wear shorts slightly above my knee.

I thought that it was more comfortable and looked better on me.

However, all my other male friends wore super long shorts, below the knee, almost at the ankles... to me they looked more like loose capris than shorts. And they made fun of me because they thought my shorts were "too short." They said it looked "gay."

So eventually, I bought some super long shorts just so I could wear them around my friends without being made fun of, but I still kept my regular shorts to wear when I wouldn't be around them.

But what really matters to me now is: do GIRLS actually care?

I don't mean super short shorts like they used to wear back in like the 80's or something, but just slightly above the knee... based on a Google search, I guess it's about 7 inch inseam. Sometimes when I sit (on the floor in specific, knees pointing up) they rise up a bit and approach near mid-thigh due to gravity, but they're still really far off from being short shorts.

I'm looking for a girl, and I want to be myself around her, dress and everything. But if every girl finds shorts above the knee ridiculous, then I can't really wear them since most of them will just laugh before even getting to know me.
