How many of you have had an ex come back after dumping you or have wanted an ex back after you dumped them?

I'm not talking about your most recent ex or the "ex that matters." I'm asking how many of you have EVER had an ex come back after dumping you even if you decided not to give it another try.

The reason I ask this is that I was having a discussion with my friends and we realized after asking several people that most have had at least a few exes wanting to try and work things out regardless of gender, length of the relationship, or reason for the breakup.

The thing is most of the time, the person that got dumped had already moved on. Some however have given it another shot and are engaged to be married and others have been back together for an extended period of time. These few couples seem to have an even stronger relationship and appreciate each other more. (at least from my observations while hanging out with them)

Has this ever happened to you? Please share some details such as how long you were together, how long were you apart, whether you tried giving it another shot, etc. for each time.

On the flipside, if you were the one that dumped your s/o in your relationships.. did you ever try to go back to see if things could be worked out?

This is a nonjudgmental poll, just interested to see the results because I think people will be surprised to see how common it is to have an ex come back. Most people online are so negative but they never mention the times where a previous ex wanted to work things out... they are just so wrapped up in the current one haha

feel free to be as negative or positive as you want. I've heard opinions from both sides of the spectrum. exes never come back...exes always come back... it never works out... both appreciate each other more the second time...blah blah blah haha

Just be honest, okay, for me? I know, know, that a huge portion of you, perhaps not more than half, but big enough to agitate the average existence, comes here for no other purpose than to antagonize passively by presenting your problems to others, reading the results, and then agreeing with one and doing JACK sh*t about whatever it was. I already know why you do it but I want to know if you do it at all; it doesn't have to be habitual but do you do that?

Do you ask for suggestions, get them on a situation, then just turn tail and do something totally different or just put up with your situation despite bugging other strangers with the drama and the poor English and the run-on sentences like this one and the lack of paragraphs and spacing just to burn people's eyes because your "plight" is that bad?

If you want BA, fine, person who tells the best joke can have BA, because honestly it's a yes or no question, so there's no way you can make a "relevant post" on the matter when there's only two answers. Okay, go.

Do you think GAG should make a "null vote" as a default options in the polls?

If you're creating a poll, you only have 5 options max. Unfortunately most of the time one of these 5 options has to be "sacraficed" for the null vote/ I don't know vote/ I just want to see the result vote. And sometimes users forget the add this option. So people who are interested have to click on an option they don't agree with just to see the results. Thus distort the poll results.

So, do you think GAG should make a "null vote" as a default options in the polls?

I've heard users complaining about how they don't get participation on their question's polls but get a lot of typed answers...resulting in inaccurate polling on user's questions.

A way that this can be alleviated, is to hide the answer box for typing, until the answerer voted on the poll...THEN the answer box will appear and he/she can type an answer as usual.

Not that there's anything wrong with not having commitment (in case the way I worded my question sounded like I was putting it down). But it's not for me. And I sometimes find myself wondering how many people are at a point in their lives when they want something more serious versus maybe just having fun, still going on dates but not settling down with one person.

I've actually always just wanted a relationship, and I'd rather be single than go out with girls without it meaning much. For many people out there, it's the opposite, but I'm wondering how many people that is.

I think it's also an important question for people asking others out. For example, at the moment I don't really ask girls out (I have my own reasons, haha) but I plan to start in a year or so when I go to college. So, say I ask a girl out. If I'm looking to actually have a relationship with someone, and I'm dating the girl to see if I'd like to have a relationship with her, if in the meantime she doesn't think much of the date and is only dating me to have a bit of fun without wanting anything serious to happen, it could be somewhat of a waste of my time. And based on the results from this question, I could get a better idea of how many girls might be like the girl in my example or how many girls would be open to something more serious.

Anyway, answer up! (I included age categories in the poll because I think age probably does play a big part in someone's openness to commitment in their love life.)

You look in the mirror. Where does your face fall on a scale of one - 10?

Ideally I would make a body poll to compare results side-by-side...

For my face I rate it a 7/10 when I look in the mirror (most days), and a 6/10 on bad days. But when someone else takes a picture of me for some reason my worst traits always come out (maybe it's because I'm not ready for the picture or I look worse from the sides?) and I turn into a 5 or lower. Pretty sure I qualify as a 'cute' guy in person.

Body on the other hand...(slightly short, too scrawny)

I expect the poll results to be in that order ... maybe flip guitarist and vocalist, but probably not.

I always planned to get and learn to play guitar, but I took a liking to drums and wound up getting a set. Nice way to bang away frustration without getting STDs, and it's really fun to make beats.
