My friend and I met 3.5 years ago. He was in an open relationship. I was just coming out of a bad breakup. We were our own people with no strings attached. His girlfriend dumped him, and he was heartbroken. I was there for him, but I avoided getting attached, because we were just friends, he was moving out of state in a year or so, and I was not going to be a rebound. We were having sex as friends, we both got tested fairly often, and we never fought about anything. Our dynamic was not all sex. He moved away, I thought I'd never hear from him again. Instead he flew me out to see him, and we maintained our friendship. I wondered which way this was going. We talked a few times, he said he had strong, loving feelings for me but as a close friend for life that he would always be there for. I was happy with that direction. Last year, I decided that I was looking for more. He was not an option, so I saw other people. He seemed to not be happy about that and we pulled away a bit. When we saw each other we didn't have sex, but we still enjoyed each others company. Last month I texted to say hi. Out of the blue he started talking to me in a way he never had before, and then he asked me to be his girlfriend! Needless to say, I was shocked! I didn't think he felt that way about me, and I had moved past that as ever being an option. I told him that this was something we should discuss in person. He agreed, and I booked a flight.

Monday I asked him if he would get an STD test.

He hasn't been tested since January, and he's had 4 partners since then. Two days later he completely blew up on me over it. He started ranting that he's never once asked me to get tested, and he cannot accept my lack of trust and paranoia in requesting that he get tested every time we are seeing each other. I should just trust that he can pick good people. I told him that STDs don't care about trust. It ended in him saying he never loved me in any way, I was just a good friend. What just happened?

I’m 18. There’s this guy that’s 21 years old. He lives in my friends neighborhood. She lives in a very rich neighborhood. She wants to hook me up with this guy for whatever reason. He is 21, has a 6 year old daughter, 4 year old son and two girls that are currently pregnant with this kids. All kids have different moms. He lives at home and his parents support him. Doesn’t work or go to college. Drives a - 2017 Bentley or lamborghini. Probably his parents, because he has no money so it is his parents. He doesn’t see his daughter and son often - only like once a month. He isn’t allowed to be in the one kids life when it’s born and the other girl is 17 years old and pregnant with his kid. He does online modeling but doesn’t get money for it. My friend said that she had sex with him and he’s really good at it. He screams fuck boy and a walking STD to me but my friend thinks I’m crazy to not go for him. Let’s see - I don’t want to get pregnant, I’m going to college in the fall, I don’t care how much money your parents have, it’s not a good look to be 21 with all these kids and doing nothing to support them, and yeah no. All my friends think he’s hot but I’m not really seeing the appeal. Should I give it a chance and go out on a date or just forget it all together?

I’m a bit nervous. I refused to fly to my boyfriend on Friday the 13th and now the fact that I have to go to the gyno on Friday the 13th is just as scary. OBGYN RECEPTIONIST: I know you’re only off on a Friday, so we can to do your appointment Friday the 13th but i’ll have to give you a male doctor but i promist there's nothing to worry about.

ME: Oh im fine with male or female, its my first time either way. But do you also do testing because although my boyfriend and i aren't gonna have sex, I just wanna make sure im good just in case something were to happen.

OR: Yes we do that and its all included with the pap smear. Just call your insurance lady to see what the co payment will be

Insurance Lady: You’ll be 100% covered as long as its at a certain location within our network

ME: Hey OR, the lady said your address may not be in their network. Is it?

OR: Tell your insurance lady she's AN IDIOT! We get your insurance all the time here.

ME: Um, she said that they should be covered

INSURANCE LADY: Oh heck no, one moment im gonna put you on hold and call these ppl!!

ME: *blank stare*

INSURANCE LADY: Ok looks like we cover that address too but make sure they only do a pap smear cause anything else is extra cost.

ME: *blank stare*

OR: Oh yes ig i forgot to mention that its $200 for STD Testing and thats not included in routine pap smear.

ME: Ok cancel the testing part

MY MOM: You made an appointment at the wrong place.

OR: Hi, is this Desi? (*mumbles* for like the 5th time)

ME: Hey OR, sorry to waste your time but my mom says i already have a doctor so i need to cancel my appointment
