Every Halloween, we see the parents who have their newborn or infant dressed like a bumble bee. Children that age should not be out at that time of night; they should be at home and in bed but. . . no, the parents have the child out trick or treating and they expect you to put candy in their plastic pumpkin! They're not going to give that candy to the child, are they? And the child is not going to have any recollection of their first Halloween, so why do they do it? The obvious answer is that they want to show off their child in costume and they are in a rush to have the child grow up.
It was fun when we were little kids but, at a certain age, dressing up and begging for free candy is rather juvenile, right? And at a certain age, it looks just. . . pathetic! It's like your mother dressing like you so she can pretend that she's a teenager when everybody in the world knows that she's 39 years old. So. . . at what age should teens stop trick or treating?
