Search Results: do you prefer pale or tan

So this is a really old picture I've seen on the internet for both how to get a nice tan as safely as possible, and how to remove a tan if you don't like it. Depending on how you look at it, the tan side can be the after, after she got a tan... or the pale side can be the after, after she removed the tan she didn't like.

And after seeing it for so long... the topic in the question title just sort of passed through my mind. I really like the overall picture, but I can't decide which side I overall like more.
If you ask me, the tan side seems a bit too tanned... her hair and her skin are practically the same color. But the pale side seems a bit too pale. The contrast in between her and her hair is too high. The best in my opinion would be an exact in between mix of the two... so she's not too dark, but not pale like a ghost, either. But that's breaking the rules, isn't it?

I guess I choose the tan side, since it seems a bit more like her natural color... if you ask me, in the pale side it sort of looks like a filter was used to make her unnaturally pale. But the tan side seems more plausible.

So to most of us, I bet that when it comes to a relationship, stuff like race, skin color, and hair color matter to an extent. So if it was just the question in general without the word "A LOT", I'm sure pretty much everyone would pick "yes." And I would too.

But by "A LOT" I mean in the sense that you'd stop being in a relationship with someone who's attractive, who cares for you, who's a good person, etc... all because their skin, or hair, or racial facial features combination aren't your number 1 exact favorite.

In that case, the answer is "no" for me. I've seen attractive and unattractive women of all races, skin color, and hair color combinations. I've seen in shape and out of shape women of all races, skin color, and hair combinations. I've seen genuine nice and kind women and really nasty women of all races, skin color, and hair combinations. And the list just goes on.

Yes, there ARE certain combinations I like more and less than others. I usually don't like overly dark skin, or overly light skin. I usually just prefer moderately fair skin, or moderately brown skin... or best of all, a perfect 50/50 in between, slightly tanned olive skin! I usually prefer dark hair over light hair. I usually prefer White women over Black and Asian women. But White women with a slight tan, not the super pale ones.

But when it comes to an actual long term relationship, it's a bit more complex than just that. I wouldn't mind a really dark skin woman with light hair, if she was physically fit, had a nice face, and was a kind, trusting person who cared about me. Initially, for a woman I don't know, I'd prefer a White woman with a slight tan, and dark hair... but since I truly love her, she's the most beautiful woman in the world to me, regardless of her race, skin, or hair. :)
