I was friends with this guy since September, he started asking me out in January, we finally went on a date mid-April and dated until he broke it off the first week of May during finals week (we go to the same college but I live in a different city that's over a mile away). He didn't talk to me for almost a full month. The first text from him wasn't an apology or a "how are you," it was a casual comment about how hard it is to find new jokes. We started texting normally, and he knew I was looking for an apartment around school so I wouldn't have to commute, but since my parents are paying they had to approve of it first. The minute my parents agreed to one, I let him know. We had gone up to visit the apartment, and I stayed in the city to hang with friends when my parents went back down to the city we live in. He invited me to go over to his place. I thought it would've been a booty call, but instead the minute I got there he wanted to sit down and just talk for over an hour. Then he treated me to pizza. I told him I was just laying there and that if he wanted to come closer he could move. He then took my had and scooted closer to me. Eventually we were cuddling, but I got uncomfortable and went to move away. When I did so, he whined, "nooo," and pulled me even closer than I was before. I mentioned that I was feeling cold and wanted to use the blanket, and he poked a little fun at me by reminding me that I was hot when I walked into the room. He started to sing, "you're hot then you're cold," but he got the lyrics wrong. Lyrics are my super power, so I sang the right lyrics. When I said, "we kiss we make up," he pulled me in by my chin and softly kissed me. We went back to watching the movie for a while, but we didn't finish it. We ended up spending almost the entire next day together too, mostly just talking and cuddling.

Valentines day is in less than a month where I live. I'm really in love with my boyfriend and would love to give him something very personal.
As I dont have lots of money atm, I was thinking about buying an album, decorating it with lyrics that mean a lot to us and print many pics of the two of us together. What would you think ab that if you were/are a guy?

I've been in a relationship for about a year and 6 months. I met him as I was getting back on feet after a nasty divorce. He at first appeared to keep up with my wit and sarcasm, we laughed, he bought flowers, took me out to places, lunch dates, explored the sights around the city (even though he hated it) we were intimate. We lived in to different cities but worked together, he wanted me to move in with him, it was cheaper out where he resided, and closer to work, so it didn't seem too crazy. After 6 months I moved in, after about a month, I was let go from work. Of course that could put stress on any couple, but the decline of our chemistry, intimacy, and even communication, in my opinion, shouldn't result in what I'm currently experiencing. I did find a job, not nearly as amazing as my old one, but it was a paycheck, and something I could commute to without a car. He never wanted to go out, we started sleeping in different rooms, sex would happen once a month, then turn into once every 3 months. I understand that not everyone has a high sex drive, and stress can affect a mans mood or performance, but to not even invest the time or want to fix it, is what bothers me. He is very closed at his communication, doesn't like me asking questions about insight or understanding, it ends up in tears. I feel like I've become his mother, cooking, cleaning... He says he loves me and wants to spend the rest of his life with me, but love to me isn't how he's acting, multiple times I've asked him, what is love to you, define it? His answer is, you can't define it, and quotes some bryan adams lyric. The hard part isn't so much that I love him, but I feel obligated to stay because he's helped me out so much, and I don't have any family or friends since I moved. I went from an IT job to fast food, so my income isn't what it used to be to support my self on my own. A part of me wants to hope it will get better, but there are core characteristics I feel don't adjust or change.
