Meh I'm just curious, and bored. But I've never been a traditional pet owner. (I've never had a cat, I've only had a dog for like a year and then we gave him up for adoption) My family always gets exotics. Like rabbits, parakeets etc.

I personally like birds (specifically parakeets) the best. 😀

I don't. I consider them like furry four-legged children. They're living breathing creatures with personality and feelings. You can't just put them down, or up for adoption because you don't want them anymore. To me, that's like a married couple getting rid of the kids just because they're splitting up, or can't handle it.

In my home state of GA, cats cannot be legally "owned", because they're not domesticated, only tamed. A domesticated animal cannot survive if released into the wild. While many individual pet cats might not survive, the species as a whole could easily adapt to a wild life and become feral if they lost their owners.

Dogs, on the other hand, have been proven to prefer the company of humans more than other dogs. It is possible for a dog literally die of depression without human companions.
