He got out of a nine-month jail sentence two months ago, during which she bought a house (she's a 23-year-old RN). They've been on-and-off for five years - he cheated on her, did drugs behind her back, and physically and verbally abused her - and it's not the first time that he's been to jail.

On one hand, even though she says that it was unplanned, it sounds suspicious to me that she got pregnant just two months after he was released: especially with her having her own house and a good-paying job, like she thought that raising a baby in a nice sizable home will change him.

On the other hand, she was engaged to him three years ago, but told him during a phone call while he was serving his recent nine months that she had no interest in marrying and having kids with him any time soon after he got out. She sounded like she meant it, especially since they haven't been engaged since they broke up the first time, and she's also been wanting to further her medical degree. I thought she'd be the last person to get pregnant out of wedlock on purpose.

I knew that she was never going to break up with him and that she'd get pregnant with him sooner or later, but does it sound like an accident or her doing?
