I just don’t get it. I am always single, literally always. I’m told I’m attractive and what not but never get approached by guys. I’ve lost weight and am always single. I did not have an actual short term relationship until I was 23, mind you I was on dating apps previously.

I never was pursued before by guys I liked, which is why I was always single. The last guy I “dated” was in long term relationships before talking to me. People that saw what he looked like when he was dating me said he was unattractive and mentioned that I could have done better. Mind you, he has been in relationships with good looking women.

He moved on within a few weeks after we stopped dating and this women wasn’t bad looking either.

How can someone unattractive like him get women so easily? While someone like myself, whose told she’s attractive, always be single? I sound bitter and jealous because I am, I want to move on but can never find a boyfriend. And I wish I never dated him/ saved myself for someone closer to my standards and worth my while.

If I begin talking to someone, I always expect them to initiate asking me out. If it’s someone I never met in person, I expect him to approach first. For the most part, I don’t make the first move until it is established he likes me. Until he has fully worn the pants and proves he’s good company, then I will communicate mutually. I am just old fashioned and expect the guy to initiate. I hear women talk about how their boyfriends asked them out and love found them, so I am not going to sit around and take initiative. The guy, in my opinion, should be the one to initiate interest first.

So I’m 25 and never really dated. I was chubby growing up and never asked out like other girls. I’ve lost a lot of weight in the past 2 years and still don’t get approached by guys.

When i was asked out later in HS, they were not by guys I’d want to date and ended up saying no. That is how it’s been: almost every guy that has asked me out I’ve rejected. I don’t feel the vibe and/or find them attractive.

What upsets me is I don’t think I’m ugly and people have told me I’m attractive, so why do I only get asked out by unattractive guys? I think it’s unfair to me because I do put in effort into my appearance. I’ve “dated” here and there for a few months but never by the guy I’d like to date because the guys I find cute don’t approach me. And no , I refuse to approach a guy first. My mother says it’s because I haven’t found the right guy and that’s true but I dunno...

And to be frank, it bothers me. My mom was 18 when she met my dad, that was her first real relationship and they got married. I’ve always expected love to find me and it hasn’t. If I’m not ugly, why have I never been approached?

Dont even lie, I know dating is shallow so that’s the first thing a guy sees. I’ve been “asked out” and “approached” by guys I don’t find attractive. I don’t understand why it’s so hard to be approached by a guy I’d want to date. Online dating has been shit, I usually give up talking to guys after a while. I hear of women get approached all the time, they don’t even try.

I just want a happy love life like everyone else and I feel like that’s the least that I can get out of lifeYes

As a woman that’s always single and has no friends, I use online apps to keep my options open. Because at the look of it, I’m always going to be single. I’ve never been approached in person by guys in a coffee shop, grocery market, college etc. And in the super rare occasion I am, it’s never by a guy I’d want to date. I don’t know how women always get approached and have dates lined up. I’m not a ugly woman and being alway single gets to you after a while 😳
