I've been seeing this guy for over 2 months now. We decided to be exclusive 3 weeks ago. A week ago he said he loved me, only this weekend did I say it back.

We spend 3 nights a week together, enjoy each other's company, sex is great and I've met his family members and his friends (they say to him that I'm a keeper).

I last saw him yesterday morning as I left his place for work. He didn't message me at all yesterday after leaving him but I wasn't too bothered about that.

Now it's Tuesday 9pm and I haven't had a single message or call from him. I find it a bit strange because in the whole time I've known him I've never had to message him first. I'm starting to wonder if the ball game has changed, like he's not so keen?

I have asked friends and they've said I should just pick up the phone and call him but my questions are:

a) Should I message him/phone him? I mean, what are the rules/etiquette on messaging/calling behaviour when you've both decided to be each other's bf and gf. I haven't initiated contact unless I've phoned him because I'm waiting downstairs at his door! Am I being completely stupid? Does it matter once you become exclusive?

b) By me continuing to act like this from here on in, will it give him the wrong impression that I'm not as into him as he is into me if he keeps initiating contact 100% of the time? Do you think he's waiting to see if I can be bothered to talk to him?

c) I don't want to feel like I'm burdening him by calling/texting him all the time. He always says I'm silly when I say things like if I'm extending my stay: - "Do you want me to stay Sunday too? I don't want to burden you."
- "Of course I do. Don't be silly."

d) I'm also wondering if he needs his down time after spending three nights with me. I need my space to do my own thing too but that shouldn't stop you from sending a little text, right?

It may be helpful to point out that he's medicated bipolar. I'm thinking maybe he's having an off day?

E-met a very attractive guy on a dating site (over35 yo). We seem perfect for each other and match as far as our looks are concerned. He has been divorced for 5 years but shared with me on a phone call that he still does not know why she left him and it was obvious that he still has at least SOME feelings for her that have not had any closure.

We talked for a couple hours and he told me both times I asked if he needed to be doing something else "you're fine". We hung up when he had to tend to his teenage son (very attached to him). He didn't return the call... a whole day passed and nothing. However, I was fully aware that he had his son and wanted to watch a certain ballgame that day too.

The following day, I was on the dating site and he logged in too a bit later. I waited for a while (about 40 minutes to an hour) then sent him a nice message that was a apology if I had worn out my welcome by keeping him on the phone two days prior while his son was there. Nothing more than that... and certainly not any indication that i felt one way or the another. Just a simple one line message.

Keep in mind, we exchanged phone numbers two days prior as well. His reply to me was "you're fine, I just had my son... I do not get time with him often... no worries."
We texted some small talk and he said he was going to go to bed and asked what I was planning to do. I relied that I was going to stay up and watch the National Championship football game but ended my comment with "if you want to meet and talk instead of talking on this silly thing (dating site message utility) you have my number." Told him Good Night.

One other thing to note - he told me his mom set up his profile because she keeps telling him he needs to find someone. He does log in often though. He has never initiated anything first... always me. I am the one who originally said something to him in the first place.

So... is he shy, just not that into me, or just still hung up on her?

I had a crush on this guy a few years ago.
We lost touch a couple of months before we found ourselves at the same party hooking up (not sex).

A week later he sent a text to my sister asking for my number.
He would always text me and call me, telling me that we should chill.

My sister and a few friends were convinced that he liked me but I never really entertained the thought because I always thought that he wanted to finish off what he started (have sex with me).
A couple of months down he stopped pursuing me.

In September, we bumped into each other at a party, we had a brief conversation.

The following morning I received a text that read "I have a crush on you". And I finally admitted to him that I had a crush on him two years back.

We started talking again. He'd tweet that he wants a girlfriend, then a minute later he'll send me a text. But he has never said "Hey, let's go on a date" or initiated anything.

I may have missed his birthday, two weeks ago, and since then, we can barely hold a conversation.
