Would you ever fake break up with your partner just to teach them a lesson?
For example, if your partner has been kind of mistreating you (ignoring msgs/calls, blaming you for little things, hanging up the phone during arguments, starting drama over little things, etc)
Fake break up as in telling them:
- you want to break up
- you're going to delete them from social media
- you lost feelings for them
- you dont want relationship/commitment anymore
But deep in your heart, you still care/love them
And after for few hours, you call them up to meet to talk in person and tell them how you really feel:
- you still love them
- you still wanna be with them
- you are still attached to them
My boyfriend did this to me. He "fake break up" with me.
We have been together for over a year by the way
And we got together again and he added me back on all social media too :/
Would you guys do this?

Yesterday me and my boyfriend (been together for nearly a year) broke up. He ended things with me because of my behavior. He would call me everyday just to talk to me and sometimes we would talk for hours. But whenever i get angry at him on the phone, I hang up his call and he would try calling back but I would ignore his calls. I have been doing this for months and then he got fed up with me so he came over to talk to me and ended our relationship. When he was breaking up with me, he was sniffing and had tears streaming down his face but he played it cool while talking to me. And then this is what he said:
"Look, I dont hate you.. you didn't do anything thats bad like cheat on me. You are just so difficult. I tried being patient with you but you never changed your behavior. you're just so hard to please. But maybe im just not the right guy for you. And with social media.. Im not planning to delete you off facebook and instagram. But if you want to delete me, then thats your choice. I dont mind if you get another guy and if you upload pictures of you and him. I will be fine with it."
Wtf? Does this mean he doesn't care? He never cared about us and our relationship? If he let me go that easily, that means he never loved me? He used to say he loves me everyday.
Were they all lies?
I thought people that loves someone wouldn't give up on them easily...

If yes, why?
My boyfriend (been together for over a year now) still calls me everyday just to talk to me
Is there a reason?

we have been together for over a year now
we broke up few weeks and we got back together a week later
and ever since we got back together, he only wants to see me once a week now
before we broke up, we used to see each other 3 or 4 times a week
but we still text each other everyday and he calls me every night to talk
he goes to work and then trains at the gym for 3 hours or so and then home
he tells me its better if we only see each other once a week or if i train at the gym with him, it can be twice a week maximum
do you think this is okay?
how many times a week do you see your partner?
to be honest, its killing me abit.. even tho we text and tlk on the phone everyday..
and we only spend every Saturday together (we go movies or dinner or both, going out to mall, staying over his place)

Just curious about men's behaviour when they have a personal issue. So my boyfriend whom I live with messaged me during his lunchbreak as he normally does to see how my day is going. When I asked him about his he replied with "Not the best". I asked what happened and he said "Nothing, just not the best". I said to him there must be a reason, is work bothering you or do you feel unwell. He replies with "No all good". I asked if it was me, did I do something to upset him and he replied with "Of course not, don't be silly". I offered that I was here for him if he wanted to talk about anything and he said Ok. Later when we both got home from work he seemed a little distant while I was cooking dinner although he did kiss me when he walked in and after he had his shower and cleaned up but after that he kind of retreated to the lounge where he just wanted to play with his phone.

At one point I swear he looked so sad like he was ready to cry. Anyway later on we ate dinner and he tucked my daughter into bed as he usually does. When I came downstairs with him I mentioned again that it seemed as if something was troubling him and he said "No all good" and I said well you look really unhappy, not your usual smiley self. I asked him if everything was ok, reiterated in person that he could talk to me but he seemed to get a little annoyed so I backed off and just said "Well something feels off, the vibe your sending out is telling me that something is wrong and I just don't want you to shut me out" and so I walked away to grab something before sitting down to watch a movie together.

During the movie he tapped the pillow for me to lay down on his lap and later when we went to bed I came up first and he came up maybe 15 mins later. He leaned over and kissed me and said goodnight and then grabbed my hand to hold and then when I turned over he cuddled into me for a short time so the affection was still there so it can't be me in this case.
