I run a private kind of karate class, about a dozen people. About half of them are guys who're ages 15-20. I guess some of them are cocky. Several of them though,(I can only guess why) have gotten slapped by what they described as "cute chicks." 1 thing, is that girls are using a move on them where she will push her hip far out to one side and set her hand on her hip she has stuck out and look at him. But then she'll flip out her other hand and slap the crap out of him. These guys don't hit girls. But they can't block this slap move, they can't even MOVE. When 2 of them brought it to my attention I tried to think of what to do against it. I didn't know, but couldn't admit it, so I guessed. I told them when you stick out your hip and prop your hand on your hip, they need to keep their eyes glued to your hip going out with your hand on it the whole time. And when it's pushed all the way out, keep your eyes there. Then they asked what else. I didn't know... so I said... well, just look up at her face then. They asked what if she's cute though? I said it won't matter, just keep your eyes going up, then down, to those 2 spots, then whatever hand she flips to the outside, block it. Easy, that'll work! Well, 2 specifically so far this school yr have (I don't know for sure, but maybe they did it on purpose) gone up to girls who've used it on them, and they both got slapped hard again by that move. They were actually mad and whining, saying how what I said, it doesn't work. When they look at the cute face? Their mouth falls open frozen. You don't telegraph anything on that move, etc. Those were said. I had to make up an excuse why they need to come talk to me later, but now I'm worried, because they're talking about quitting the class completely. Do you know this move too, or have had to use it? I'm thinking of putting up an ad for a girl who uses this on guys, with 2 of my offers in the poll. Would you take 1 of them if you saw the ad and know this move?

This girl and I like each other but she has very stringent standards, one of which I don't meet. I enjoy drinking alcohol once every other day or every 3 days. When I drink I have one serving, I never drive afterwards, I know my limits, I've never been drunk, and I like it more for the taste than for feeling a little tipsy.

Her standard is that the guy she dates doesn't drink alcohol ever, or has before but didn't like it. She has relatives that are drunkards and it's understandable that she doesn't want the person she dates to be like them. However, she's seen me drink and knows that I am responsible with it.

She's 20 now and I've never offered her to take a drink. We've been on three official dates. It seems that out of the blue she no longer wants to date, despite things going well so far.

Am I crazy? Is she using it as an excuse to not date me? Or do you think she just can't reconcile her feelings with her standard?

At one point she insisted that Jesus never drank and that he doesn't like when people do drink. I've pointed out that he turned water into wine, and even had wine at his own Passover during communion. The Bible says not to overdrink, yes, though it doesn't say to abstain from it.
