Almost all of my friends had gotten married, and many have already divorced.

My parents are getting annoyed at me for lack of grandkids. My close friends trust me but there's no denying their wives look at me a certain way because I am in the best shape of my life due to the nature of my work (pro photographer, portraiture / theatre / fashion) and the time and flexibility it affords me, to eat right and exercise, and otherwise look after myself.

I have no problem getting dates, at all, or just walking up to say several girls standing together at a bar and just striking up a conversation, etc. It is actually kind of part of the problem - if I had bigger issues I would hold on even to my last girl for dear life (only to divorce her later?) - very very pretty but not much spiritually in common.

Back in Soviet Russia in communist times where material wealth was being frowned upon and equality was preached, girls, even scorching hot girls, were growing up as more or less normal people. In the West (and today's Russia, indeed the entire world), female beauty is so objectified, commoditised and patronized that it is hard to find a genuinely beautiful woman in a major city who isn't at least somewhat stuck up, and often even rotten.

I've been fortunate to have grown up surrounded by beautiful women, but I do not expect or want to marry the best looking girl I can find - I am willing to compromise there so I can find a fascinating person and a soul-mate, but for practical reasons, I just want her to be good looking enough to be a muse to me and to be able to be secure enough around my portraiture clients.

What's a fella to do?
