Search Results: breaking up for another guy

Last year I was talking to this guy and we hooked up a couple times. It was never serious and I ended it quickly. A month of so after that he met another girl I know (acquaintance/friend) and started talking/dating her. I was still nice to him (basically just saying hi, not ignoring him when I saw him) but in no way trying to have him back or anything while they were together. Then, she found out that we had hooked up and got extremely mad and confrontational with me when she was drunk (she gets very emotional when drunk and they are always fighting and breaking up/getting back together). She told me to stop talking to him and trying to "steal" him. I just tried to calm her down and say that nothing is going on and that everything that happened was in the past. She was still angry and had him block me on everything. This happened a few months ago but I just found out that she has been telling people that when she confronted me I said "I'm going to sleep with your boyfriend whether you like it or not" (complete lie)! I'm now scared because I was planning on rushing the sorority she is in and I absolutely HATE drama like this. Should I just apologize to see if I can diffuse the situation or should I stand my ground and hope she doesn't cause problems?

My friend has dated so many guys, and there are a few others she has a crush on too, but she also always has a boyfriend. She currently has one, but she still get's mad when one of her exes or simple crushes hits me up (which I do absolutely nothing to make them.) I don't even like any of them either, yet she feels like I go out of my way to take them from her.

The one time I was interested in one of them, it was her life long crush who approached me while she was in a serious relationship with someone else. I had to ask her if it was okay that I talk to him (because I thought that's what a good friend would do.) She got furious and I didn't do anything but ask for permission? She had a boyfriend at the time, and so I don't understand why every guy she's liked or had nothing serious with is completely off limits if she truly loves the relationship she's in?

I'm confused and I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong or if she is? It just seems like she is very possessive over each and every one of them when they aren't even hers.

Ex. I went to a party her ex invited me to with my other friend, but I didn't flirt with him, I didn't do anything but hang out with him and some other people. And she said that was something "a friend wouldn't do." We played spin the bottle and I guess another one of her ex guys was there, first boyfriend ever from like 5 years ago, and he landed on me so I had to kiss him for 5 seconds (not because I wanted to because trust me I didn't), but I didn't see any harm in it considering it meant nothing to me, and that he was old history. She told me "It's not that I care about them anymore because I don't, It's that you are breaking girl code." If you don't care about them then it should not be against girl code, but that's just my opinion I guess.

Basically I want to know if by most girls I would be considered a terrible friend, or if she would be considered the terrible friend for overreacting like this?
