Technology is everywhere now and it seems like more and more people are becoming addicted to it, especially though social media. So would you ever take a period of time to turn off your phone, not watch tv and have a detox?

Disclamor: I know that technology is more than just a tv and cell phone these are just my examples.

This girl and I were best friends since 5th grade. We graduated high school in 2016. Neither of us go to college and we work. We have a lot of great memories together. We live like 5 minutes from each other. We got into a major blowout over something stupid and didn’t talk from May 2016 until July of 2018. She contacted me out of nowhere last year and wanted to hang out and we were fine and I gave her the benefit of the doubt and We both hung out every single day after work but it was too much we started fighting again and she was acting like the mean monster she can be and she wasn’t mentally sane. We said nasty things and broke up in December. Here we are in May and she calls my house and I wasn’t home at the time but my parents answered it. I changed my cell phone number because I got on an entire new plan and she didn’t know it. My parents said to me your 21 years old it’s your life and they don’t really like her but they never really have. I do worry about her but I’m not sure if she’s mentally there or why she is reaching out to me. Should I even bother calling her back and trying to make it work for a 3rd time? She can be very mean and nasty and bossy when she doesn’t get her way. She’s like a ticking time bomb. I’ll admit I can also not be the easiest person to get along with but I also know she has no friends. She is socially awkward as well as myself. I don’t wish anything bad on her and I do worry about her but she told me to kill myself when she was mad and sometimes I feel like she uses me. Her parents are also horrible parents. I don’t know if I should call back. The ball is in my court?

We were both social outcasts at school and got bullied - hell we went to prom together as friends (no we didn’t date lol we are both straight) just super socially awkward. We had a lot of fights but also a lot of good memories. We kept fighting and said a lot of nasty things to each other and broke off our friendship shortly after senior year ended and didn’t speak to each other for 10 months. She contacted me in August of last year and we decided to give it another go. Since we both had no friends and we’re bored sitting at home and going to work. It was fine for a few weeks but then we kept fighting and name calling and threatening each other almost every day. We got into a major blowout on a trip we took for a concert in October. After the concert she said she didn’t want to be friends anymore and that our relationship is too toxic. We fight more then we get along and we fight when we aren’t out doing things. We have similar interests but it just didn’t work out. She changed her cell phone number but I know her house phone number. We haven’t spoke since October. Today, I saw her relatives and they said hi to me and smiled but had a look on their face like sympathy or something it was weird. I currently haven’t had a job in over a month and have been sitting at home day in and day out and I’m about to lose it (I’ve applied to several jobs but nobody will call me back). I have nobody else except my parents and it’s pathetic. I live out in the boon docks too so there’s nothing around to do and I don’t have much money. Her parents would probably answer the phone and recognize my voice if I called and asked for her. I don’t even know if she’d wanna talk to me. What do I even say?
