If your son or daughter got themselves a girlfriend/boyfriend would you treat them different or have different rules because of their genders. For a safe age. Let's say they both 16 and recently started dating someone.

Would they both be allowed in their room alone with their gf/bf with the door closed or would you only allow your son. Or only your daughter. How would you feel about their curfew or if they went to the others house.

Would your rules always stay the same for both. Or does the fact that they a girl dating a guy or guy dating a girl matter.

For me personally. I'm a girl but I would still be abit more careful with my daughter. I wouldn't be some huge obstacles she has to pass and I wouldn't just get my son free reign either. But it is usually the male who makes the movies first. And generally parents are alittle more protective over their daughters.

So I also have my sons gfs parents to watch our for their daughter and I would teach him respect and not to do anything the girl isn't ready for etc. On the other hand. Not all. But a lot of parents let their son do whatever. They don't even teach them that they need to be patient etc. a lot do. But not all. So I would be extra careful with my daughter boyfriend. Since I wouldn't know how he was raised. So I will make sure my daughter extra safe.

Now you can claim im being judgmental or sexist. Say whatever you want honestly. I would care for both my children. But I also take safety. Today's world and yes gender into account because. Even if you not sexist. The world is. Woman are seen as weaker. You more likely to get hurt or robbed etc. So I may have my son walk to shop than my daughter. Since it's less likely to be mugged. Is the danger still there. Of course. But we can't solve everything. We need to learn to live with it and help raise our
