I like this girl in school and she knows we have the same friends but the first time we saw each other she was the one that started with the eye contact the first time we had direct eye contact and the second time too but now it's just glances but our friends were trying to make us talk to each other but I just decided to talk to her but the first time we talked she was really shy she could barley talk but I don't know if it was by me or cuz that's just her but we had a break from school for 2 weeks but the last day before the break which was 2 weeks ago I asked for her kik and phone I asked her friends the day before first and they said she doesn't have a phone and bout the kik they weren't sure but when I asked her she said she's not really in her kik and than she said she doesn't have a phone but I asked her if she wants to get to know me she did a face expression it looked like a good expression like she smiled at me but than after the face expression she said there's not another way she can get in contact with me but I don't know if that was a yes though but today we got back to school from the break I saw her in the morning in the hallway alone I said hey and she said hi waved and smiled but I really wanted to hangout with her but I wanna go slow and I don't even know how she feels bout me but when I say hi she says hi back smiles and waves and when I say bye she says bye smiles and waves but do you think this is a good sign or no, and is it ok to go slow with a girl/Please answer the 2 questions Thank You!

The girl, let's call her Mary. She leaves near me, so we walk home together. For 5 or 10 minutes we are alone, and got plenty of time to speak. She constantly touches her hair and face and sometimes giggles at bad jokes. I have a crush on her. Just before the holiday, I was late for school and when I entered the classroom and made eye contact she rapidly looked away and brushed her hair. Also, we and a group of mutual friends went to the cinema together about a week ago. She couldn't eat all her popcorn, so she gave it to me. On our way home, her dad appeared. She asked if I want to come with them, as they took another route than normally. When I arrived at my street, I shook hands with her dad. I just wanted to say "bye" to her, as our usual hug would have seemed weird in front of the parent. But, surprisingly, she initiated the hug! Signs were good, you'd probably say. So I asked her out. She said she couldn't come on Monday, since she will be at a girl's birthday. Not a bs reason, there are now photos on Facebook. So, Mary said we could do it some other time. Let's say there's a guy called Tom. Tom has been dating Mary for a few months already. The day before Monday Tom announced on Facebook that they're together! The post disappeared afer a few minutes. I asked Mary and she said they really are together. I asked her if she still wants to go to a date with me, she said only if Tom agrees. After, she told me that Tom wants to join us. The next day I asked her on WhatsApp if the "date" will still take place. She said that Tom cancelled the "date". However, she said that they will still date and added a love emoticon. After some texting she sends me: "Call me when you arrive at my house. Love ya. Oops, this was meant for Tom." So, I asked if her bff is available this week. After, she only answered texts with yes or no. I've read that the wrong person text and the profile photo of him which she now uses are teenager things meant to make someone jealous. Conspiracy?
