So I’ve been with my boyfriend on and off for 3 years, we have had our ups and downs, in June I moved to his city to be with him (2 hours drive away) from my friends and family. It’s been over 6 months and I’ve decided to move back to my hometown, we share a flat together but I’ve felt so lonely and have been driving back to my hometown every weekend to see my friends, I’ve tried to make friends there joining clubs and changing jobs, my boyfriend worked long hours and shifts (including night shifts) so I felt he was never there, I’d ask him to take me out but he never had any money or was too tired, he occasionally would go out with his workfriends on nights out but wouldn’t invite me. He completely went off sex with me for a couple of months saying he’s tired, he’s been depressed, also we had lots of arguments as I’ve been unhappy, He went to see his friends (his hometown 4 hour drive) I needed to contact him but he refused to text or pick up his phone for the week, I don’t feel like I can relay on him, I phoned the letting agent to give up the flat, I’ve got 5 weeks left before moving out and have a job transfer, he’s told me he regrets the last 6 months and wish he could change it, I said he can move with me, he used to live there but he says it would be a step back and he doesn’t want to settle down as he wants to travel and do volunteering in different countries, I still love him despite what’s gone on I wish it had been different, i honestly saw him as the guy I’d marry and have kids with, we travelled a lot together and have many memories, in the last few day he kept telling me he loves me and hugging me and saying you never know what will happen in the future, he’s also said he’s maybe thinking of moving back but cannot afford for the next few months it’s messing with my head as he contradicts himself, I will miss the flat and him I’m scared I won’t be happy moving back, if he really loved me surly he’d move back to be with me, any advice would be amazing
