1. The thought of a monster grabbing my ankle
I still get the creeps when I'm standing by my bed or have my foot hanging off the bed at night. Monsters don't exist... unless it's dark and I'm alone.
2. Being alone with a suspicious looking stranger
This always freaks me out when it's just me and another person in a lobby, hallway, or especially on the train.
3. Creepy hallways
I always dump the trash out at night and it never gets easier for me. I hate the creepy buzzing noises the lights make and it's always -5 degrees. I feel like Spongebob in that one episode.
4. Any kind of text mistakes
Typos, texting the wrong person, hitting send on a risky message these are the easiest ways to give me mini heart attacks. I still remember the panic of sending the wrong person a f*ck you message that was meant for my best friend. Whoops.
5. Awkward pauses on the phone
Ugh, this one makes me want to hide away from real life. I hate when there's limited things to talk about and when you actually say something you end up speaking when the other person does. Yuck. I want this to never be a thing.
6. Walking in the dark after watching a scary movie
I judge how scary a movie is by how paranoid I am when walking to the bathroom in the dark afterwards.
7. Stepping on a creature or something slimy in the ocean
It's almost always something silly like a crab or a piece of slimy seaweed, but my mind always wanders to a freak sea monster munching on my foot. Beach shoes could spare you from the foot nibbles but at the price of their hideousness. Side note, I used that gif but I'd hangout with that cloudy eyed critter.
8. Spider swallowing statistics
This messes with me right before I'm about to go to bed and have a stuffy nose. Stay out of all my holes, Mr. Spider!
9. The existence of Demodex mites
Let's take a second to think about the little spiders that have sex on our eyelashes and reproduce while we sleep. They're one of many nasty things that live on us till we die. Yay.
10. Dreams about being trapped in a small space or suffocating
I would choose dying slowly every night if it meant never having another one of these type of dreams. Anything involving a small room, car, or tiny window can stay away from me. Also, when I was younger suffocation dreams were really common, and I hate them to this day for obvious reasons.
Do you guys agree with any of these or have anything to add?
