I met this guy right before break. He is really attractive and a few years older than me so I decided to shoot him a Facebook message over break (lame I know but we live several hours away and I didn’t have his number.) So we talked about some stuff and one day I mentioned something about most of my friends who climb are more advanced than me so I just feel like I’m slowing them down. Then this guy asked me for my number so he can call me when he goes climbing with his friends so I can come out. We talked for a bit about random things and then he randomly brought up climbing again and told me about some easier routes nearby and offered to take me out there

“So you can practice your leading and I can give you a catch. :)”

Then today I saw him after class and he asked me about it again gave me his number and told me when he was free so we could head out there soon.

Maybe I’m getting ahead of myself and only seeing what I want in this situation but in my experience guys don’t just take girls out to let them practice things unless they are interested. Thoughts?

I have known this guy for a for awhile now. I'm not sure exactly what he thinks of me? but we have always had this awkward "friendship". He has never totally felt comfortable with me like my other friends. I'm not sure if that's because he likes me? or he knows I had a little crush on him? I'm pretty sure he has no idea that I did (I could be wrong).



Anyways, he's a little more open to me than before. But there's still that awkwardness. Sometimes he would barely talk/look at me. Other times he would walk away or leave the room so that we weren't alone. And when we are alone, he gets quiet or awkward (sometimes he would ask a random question but mostly quiet). Also, I feel like he talks at me (as in says something general to the people in the room) not to me sometimes. He hardly ever makes 1 on 1 conversation wit me.

But then he would sometimes ask me why I'm quiet? So basically, I wanna know why he's so weird sometimes. Like what he's deal? am I just making him uncomfortable because I'm not loud like my other friends? I mean I'm a shy person, but with him I become even more shy. I just wish I knew what he was thinking. Especially his thoughts about me?

A few things I thought I would add:

1) Sometimes he doesn't look at me at all (even when talking)

2) Sometimes he does look at me but only if he really has to (I think) eg I asked him a question? or vice versa

3) Sometimes I catch him looking at me (it mite just be bad timing or my imagination) but he either looks away quickly or smiles and get all embarrassed. Like eg when we had to dance and we both looked at each at the same time. OR if were out with friends and I happen to look up & see him (that happens vice versa as well)

4) And 1 night when we were out his friend (who I don't really like) started acting really weird & flirty towards me. And all of a sudden my crush was like "i don't want to make things award, but I think he likes you". Would he say that if he liked me?

- 2 hrs later he texted asking if he's friend can have my Facebook, but it was my call. I msg back saying yes, but only as friends and to not give my number out (I didn't want to be mean or anything).

5) He didn't get any of my other friends presents for there birthday. And he got me all these random little things (more joke presents really). Could that have been cause my birthday was at the beach? and he felt slack turning up with nothing? and btw he didn't even give it 2 me that day. He asked my friend (there work buddies) to give it to me from him. When I sms him the next day saying thanks, and I guess I should get you a present now lol :P

He replied back saying, that's cool all I want is dinner with friends. Does that mean he's trying to say he only sees me as a friend?

Anyways guys what do you think? what's his deal? should I give up?

Me and my friends were at the club a couple nights ago. I walked off to talk to some people and when I came back my guy friend was talking to some girl. He introduced me to her and she immediately says "yeah you're friend's a freakin liar." So I asked her what happened. She said they were talking and that he lied about something really stupid and that she can't stand liars. I was like aww dude I'm sorry. So she kind of chewed him out a minute and walked away. Well I saw her a few minutes later and we started talking. She was like "You're awesome we should hang out. Let me give you my number." Well my guy friend found out I got it and has been calling me and texting me asking me to give it to him. I said "no dude, if she wanted you to have her number that she would have given it you. OR if she wanted me to give it to you she would have said something"

I had a friend give my number to a random guy that hit on me last year (and I was p*ssed as hell). If I want a guy to have my number then I will give it to him or signal you to do it. Either way, I think that if you plan on giving a random person my number that you should ask me first. I mean what if I don't like the person? Then you just put me in a weird unnecessary position.

So anyway, I told my friend that the next time I talked to her, that I would ask if its ok to give him her number. But that's it. I'm not going to give out someone's number without their consent. Its not cool.
