Do you guys (men) find them off putting?

Unfortunately, I'm cursed with thick calves. They measure 14 inches (36cm) around the fullest part, I wouldn't mind that if they wouldn't have been thick at the bottom as well. Simply said they make me look fatter but I can't get rid of them.

So I wanted to ask if it's still okay to wear shorts/skirts despite having those thick calves? I've always wanted to wear shorts, dresses and skirts but I never could without getting weird stares or even insults. I'm really tired of being limited like this though, I don't wanna spend my life in pants as weird as it sounds. :|

I’m not asking in hopes of compliment it’s not that kind of question. I suspect more people are uncomfortable with it than anything else. Either way , I just want to know as best you can conjure, what you natural reaction would be , seeing a 20 year old - let’s say otherwise acting relatively normal lol - normal in a casual setting school library cafe park etc, in very long dress.

Light fabric in hot weather. No deep plunging neck line or turtle neck. Moderate neck line long sleeves or short slightly form fitting fabric on top gradually flaring it to the ground. Probably light color white light blue light purple sea foam rails etc as it is summer.

I know thus is not uncommon in some cultures. I am living in the United States.

Growing up I had to wear very long formless heavy dull frocks. I don’t think I’d even call them dresses lol when I lived out at 15- well after a while I became very much into very casual comfortable clothing. A year or so I became more interested in aesthetics and incorporated art into my clothing. A year or so after I became more daring with shorter less materiel. Not “revealing” just compared to anything I was used to... let’s say skirts above the knee, high boots , shirts that were semi transparent, skater dresses that were form fitting in top, ( though I’d if course wear a camisole under) and once in a while tight jeans or a crop top.

Less material ( to a degree) became more bc it brought me further away from feeling literally, trapped in my clothing. Now I’ve had several years away from no choice , I’m noticing I have a natural appreciation for long flowey material.

I feel most comfortable bc I’m covered which I still tend to prefer but I’m not hiding or swimming in anything and I like the way dresses flow like they are part of nature..
