Should I ask my short boyfriend if he's comfortable with my heels?

We've been dating five months now. I'm 5'1 and he's about 5'4-5'5. I usually wear the same boots with him and switch between two sneakers. He's never seen me in heels but I'd like to wear a skirt today that goes well with these heels I have. They aren't that high or skinny, more like 4 inches.

His height isn't a bother to me but I don't know how he'd feel. Should I ask him if he's comfortable with me wearing the shoes I have in mind, even if it makes me a little taller than him? I feel more comfortable asking instead of just showing up without him knowing. Any thoughts?

You can ask sure. I personally wouldn’t care if a woman towers over me, shorter, or the same height; you’re boyfriend might the the same as me or different in his beliefs. Nonetheless, if he isn’t comfortable with you wearing heels now, it doesn’t mean he can’t get comfortable with them overtime.

I would ask. My girlfriend is almost equal to my height (maybe a bit taller). I don't care, but since you are usually shorter than him it's a good idea to ask.

I think so too. He's a really nice guy. I dated someone long ago about his height and he was controlling and didn't want me wearing heels. Even though I wouldn't make that same mistake again and I doubt my boyfriend would tell me not to wear them, I don't know if I should still just ask and see how he'd feel

If height is really that much of a problem you need to give your boyfriend the heels rather than wear them yourself.
