Search Results: do people have the right not to be judged

If this is affecting Weinstein, imagine how much it is affecting the non-rich males in our society. Males who can't afford bail (thats most of them) are held on remand for a year or more, in terrible prison conditions, before even facing trial. Their relationships collapse, their families too, and their psychology and drug-status, among other things, is altered for life. Their reputation, too, seems to end in them being chastised, blacklisted, and never allowed into society again. They may commit suicide, turn to hard drugs, even become violent asan effect of the accusations. They lose everything.

However: losing their reputation in particular, is at least dependent on society. If people dont judge, they dont lose their reputation. I have no feelings about Harvey Weinstein, and am not interested in the outcome. What I Am interested in, from a mens and human rights point of view, is how mere Allegations can lead to chastisement and stigma. Weinstein may well be guilty: LEGAL PROCESS HAS NOT CONFIRMED IT. I dont believe in the way it works, but thats the system we have, and the onus probandi being on the accuser is a rare positive principle - however much it may not be followed this century. It is still on us to reserve judgement. They may be innocent even when sentenced, but before sentencing, innocence certainly has to be a possibility - for our own human rights.

While I'm no stoner or anything, I do believe that there's still nothing wrong with Marijuana and should be legalized, especially since alcohol (which has caused far more deaths than weed) has been legalized since the Prohibition era. I also don't care if other people smoke weed or not since it's really none of my business. I honestly don't understand why some people care and get judgmental of people who smoke weed. I noticed that it's usually your occasional hardcore/extreme far-right winger that seems to be bothered so much (by marijuana and the people who smoke it) for some odd reason. They also have these outrageous assumptions that all people who smoked weed are stupid, careless (of life) and lazy.
