So my friend started off really sweet at first but I think I'm a huge embarrassment to her in public. She typically refers to me as weird, and a social outcast/ reject. And when I show her my ideas she reminded me of how other writers are better then me and brags about how she's an amazing writer. This summer I asked her if we could hang out and she makes up excuses on why we can't see each other outside of school. Or refuses to make plans with me. Now she completely stopped talking to me, when I was very nice to her the whole time and ignored her insults. We have interesting conversations and she buys me stuff but other than that and er never had a deep, emotional connection. But we talked about perverted things like bra sizes and clothes...

A person I used to friends with was the same way. She told me I was a embarrassment to her and she told reminded me about how I was freak and how people thought I was hideous and after that gossiped about me for the rest of the school year.

So I'm I a huge embarrassment to my friends or what?

So over the summer I have decided to join an athletic camp at my current school, and it so happened to be a coed. Well anyways, a couple days in I have started to become a little bit comfortable and happy that I joined the camp until another guy randomly decided to join the camp (I'll call his lifesaver for privacy reasons). Normally this type of action wouldn't bother me, but this 'guy' was the same guy that I use to see during school days, and he would always just constantly stare at me. I think that it was a coincidence that he decided to join the same camp as me out of 15 of them. Suddenly I became nervous and wanted to talk this join, but what could I say? He's an upperclassmen who didn't even know my name.

That day was extremely long, and being the only person who sucked at most of the activities really sucked. I was only a beginner and this was my excuse to talk to him. It just so happened that there was a partner activity that day, and out of everyone attending the camp I was partnered up with lifesaver. I was completely nervous and shocked and the situation was more awkward when my trainer decided to stop the camp so that lifesaver can properly introduce himself to me. I wanted to be impressive that day, and honestly I failed considering he had to help me with everything. That day was a bummer to me because I didn't even make small talk.

The next day my trainer decided that instead of training we should play a game. I was automatically a team captain and I picked 3 players that were my friends. I never wanted to pick lifesaver, but when it came to my last teammate my trainer picked him for me without my opinion. I was stuck with him again, and this was a perfect time to make small talk. What ended up happening instead is him introducing himself again to me, and stating that he didn't know how to play the sport we were playing ( which was a complete lie). Honestly I don't know what to do, so how can I talk to him and show that I'm interested?
