On the first day of class last quarter I introduced myself to a few people sitting next me including a guy we will call Sam. I didn't expect much as my class is huge so its unlikely I would sit next to the same people again. A few weeks later Sam catches me on our way out of class, but I don't recognize him because I'm terrible with faces. He politely reminds me that we met on the first day. Next class I realize that Sam has been sitting in the row in front of me the whole time. Over the next few weeks we work together some days. Later I make a group chat with him and a few other students for us to use for class. On the night before a midterm, I went to a TA session and he turns up so we sit together. We studied together for multiple hours after the TA session ended in an empty classroom. Next class he sits next to me instead of in the row in front of me. We continue like this and when we get our tests back... I failed it. I angrily tell him I failed it and he suggests we study together for the upcoming final (he aced the exam). So during finals week we stay in the library until 2am and grab burritos multiple times. Turns out we are freaking hilarious together. After finals end Sam, another student, and I get margaritas.
Fast forward to the first day of summer classes... I go to the gym and see Sam across the gym but don't do anything. I'm blasting my music and sweating profusely on the bike machine when Sam appears next to me. We chat and he asks if I want to get sushi on Thursday. So now we are getting sushi but I'm not sure if this is a date or just sushi.
Another thing he is a very friendly and social person. Whenever we go anywhere we run into people he knows.
Also he has my number but we don't text. We do snapchat some and he always checks my story even though he never posts anything.

How many tries did it take to get your license? I was a bit late to the driving game, big family, no money, busy and very little driving time early on. I started at 17 and now I'm 20 and just failed my second road test. I keep getting rude and condescending people which isn't necessarily an excuse for mistakes but it doesn't help. Any tips, or personal experiences are appreciated:)

I'm going to share a couple things I've deliberately done. I didn't feel bad for all of them.

- Age 7: I did deliberately hurt a small lizard on two separate occasions out of curiosity. The first time I cut off a small part of its tail; felt bad and let it go. The 2nd time, I put one next to a hot lightbulb for 2 seconds and watched it move like crazy. Once again, I felt bad and let it go. Instead I would collect as many as I could, put them in a jar with holes and feed them.

- Grade school and 12th grade: I cheated on some tests and always felt I've gotten away with it; didn't care. Sometimes I just didn't feel like studying the material or felt it just wasn't worth it. The only time I felt bad after getting away with it was when I cheated on a college exam. The guilt was so much to the point I never cheated on a single exam again.

- 12th grade incident: I stole a couple extra credit tickets to get an A in the class. The French teacher found out. When she explained how I hurt her, caused her a headache and even made her cry last night, I didn't care. Within me, I just felt like laughing because I thought it was an overreaction.

- I was a former kleptomaniac all the way till age 17. I stopped when I wasn't a minor anymore.
