Okay for a long time now, my dad has ALWAYS compared me to my some of my cousins; especially with two of my female cousins. I've always been different to these two because I'm not like them. I'm not girly, I don't listen to boy bands, I'm not interested in fashion, make up and all the other things they like.

I love Marvel comics and movies, DC comic and movies. I love gaming (mainly Play Station, but I'm hoping to get an Xbox soon), I do a lot of fitness training with martial arts (one of my cousins does the same martial arts as well) and I also do a lot of fitness training with my personal trainer. I study English, History and music (I want to be a teacher) I don't style my hair (it's naturally curly/wavy. I like it that way), I wear what I find like (skirts, tops leggings), but my dad doesn't agree with me.

He has said a number of times that I should be like them, and I've had enough of it. Should I just act like my cousins, so he sees how miserable I'll be by pretending to be someone I'm not?

I'm around 5' 10". I weigh around 150-155. I NEED to tone up. I just can't stay consistent so I had an idea to get a personal trainer. What do you think?

Is it worth it?

Although going to the gym may seem like the archetypical way of getting in shape, it is not always the best choice, especially when you consider that gym membership fees can cost up to hundreds of dollars! The dollars are spent for the exercise equipment, showers, personal trainers and fitness consultants, nutrition experts, fitness classes, and the like. Going to the gym is a great hobby for people who can afford it. For people who can't afford the gym, they can just add more physical activity in their lives. For example, a person may take the stairs instead of the elevator, because it is "green", and because it is considerably faster on a busy day. Sometimes, elevators can be really slow and have to stop at every floor, because there are so many people in the elevator destined to stop at different floors. You are better off with using the stairs. To save time, you run up or down the stairs as fast and as comfortably as possible.
