My best friend of over 5 years has been acting different since mid-October. When we first met, five years ago, it started off with us flirting with each other but then it just turned into a really strong friendship and we never flirted after that first month of knowing each other. We have both been in different relationships (with other people) during those 5 years but the last year, or so, we have both been single. Well, mid-October he was really drunk and started texting me. It was a normal convo at first with him telling me how much he drank, etc. and then he turned it into a sex conversation. He talked about what he loves and hates during sex/foreplay and asked me what I was into, etc. This has continued on and off since and one time he even brought a few hypothetical scenarios up like "this is a hypothetical scenario but would you ever date somebody who has the same job as me?" (he travels a lot to different cities, sometimes for a few days at a time) and I said I would and then another hypothetical scenario of what he would say to my parents if we were dating, etc. stuff like that. Is he interested in dating me? What is going on? He hasn't said that he wants to flat out but... it is almost like he is telling me in a round about way. He even asked me if I was casually dating anybody new. I dunno, I guess I am just confused. I asked him flat out if he was wanting to go on a date and he was all 'oh, I was just being hypothetical!'

So me and this guy are friends and part of the same friend group. But our friendship started complicated because when we first really started talking we were on a weekend trip and there was drinking involved and basically drunk Kenya initiated it but for the whole weekend long we cuddled and made out and basically we're together. As time past we became good friends and every once and a while he's bring up that weekend and say how fun it was and how great of a time it was. And bring up little details like our seven minutes and heaven. Now when that happened it was January nothing really happened again till July when we were having a bonfire at my friends house. He was super flirty all night and he tolde to come sit beside him. He roasted a marshmallow for me , put his hat on my head , offered me his sweater the whole shebang. He also complained that I didn't text him enough. When he never bothered to text me once first... Longer through the night my friends dared us to kiss and we did and it was great. But the next day again seemed like we were back to the start. However after this we started texting quit regularly for a while. Then came to weeks ago when I was up in the city where he goes to school with my friend. We were at a bar about 20 minutes from his school. There's was some creep hitting on me all night and would but his arm around me and stuff. So I jokingly texted him and asked for help. He asked what was wrong I told him and he asked where I was and what the address wass. my friend told him as I had been drinking and half an hour later he actually showed up! And helped me get away from the guy. We ended up walking back into town and instead of going back to his dorm he ended up coming back with is. We ended up sharing a bed and we cuddled and held hands, we didn't kiss but he rubbed my back and intertwined our legs and cute shit. The problem is we never talk about feelings EVER and when my friend asked his best friend I'd he like me he said he didn't know because he never talked to him about feelings but he did know that the boy had said he liked getting affection from me... So what does that mean? Is he using me or is there a chance he's to shy to admit anything?
