Before you start judging me, I have to say that I am a HUGE skeptic when it comes to these situations in general and I'm very cautious because I don't wanna get hurt, but this is something that I feel is different.

Recently I started developing crush on my friend, but he has a girlfriend. And he's the one who started the flirtation in the first place. It is obvious that he finds me really interesting as a person (gave me compliments about my sense of humor, my openness, my intelligence, my personality) and cute (described his ideal woman basically as me). He doesn't blow hot and cold, just hot, so I know he really likes me. We've been hanging more often for some time and he doesn't mention his girlfriend at all and I mean not a word about her, not even her name. When I asked him about that he told me that their relationship has no future and that was that. I've tried to make myself look at him only as a friend because I didn't want to interfere. But he is so into me (even mentioned that he feels like we're a couple) and it's so obvious and I think his friends noticed that too. I don't want to be hurt and to fall for a taken guy, this is an age old story and everybody knows that the third person looses the game, I've seen my friends get hurt because of that. But somehow, I feel this is different. Do you think there is a chance for a relationship with him or should I try to 'forbid' myself to like him and act only friendly?
