Search Results: dilemma

OK so my grandpa died a few weeks ago and because my family is a giant mess and nobody cares about anybody it was up to my mum and my aunt to take care of his funeral and his belongings. They did so and my mother only asked me to bring his clothes to the second hand store next time I will be visiting her. She told me that I could keep the money I would get from selling the clothes and regard it as my part of the 'inheritance' since my grandpa was a poor man and didn't leave anything behind expect the huge amount of stuff he amassed in his rather long life.

It won't be a lot, maybe 40-50€ but I'm seriously debating whether I'd want to use it for myself or maybe give it to a charity. The thing is my grandpa was a dick and spent most of his time stealing other people's stuff, getting into fist fights and just generally making other people miserable. So I think it would be nice to use some of his money to support a worthwhile cause, make him do something nice posthumously. On the other hand he loved being a dick and he hated everything and everyone that any charity would help. So I wouldn't exactly be honoring him by giving away the money.

You see the dilemma I'm in here?

In the end I will listen to my gut and do whatever feels right when the time has come but I'm still interested in your take on the matter. What would you do if you were in my shoes?
