Search Results: making him get excited

I might be thinking too into it. But I don't know!

So there is this guy who I have a bit of a crush on. Though I really don't see him much. We haven't talked a lot, in fact today was the first day I actually sat down and had a ten minute conversation with him when we were both on break.

And yesterday there was apparently some big college football game. I don't know anything about football, don't even know who played. However I KNOW that he likes football because he was so excited about it yesterday. He however knows I don't care for it, so he gave a relatively short answer, and then we went on to talk about some other stuff, and he mentioned how he was a pretty chill person unless it came to certain things like football.
I shook my head and was like "It's so boring..." And even informed him that I literally had no idea who played. Like at all.
He got teasingly offended and THIS is the important part, he said this:
"I'll have to take you to a game, change your mind."

I didn't know what to say, so I kinda just grinned and went back to trying to google what teams played yesterday. (He had told me a bit before to just google it, because he was so supposedly upset that I didn't know who played that he was making me figure it out myself). I KNOW IT WAS SUCH A STUPID THING TO DO! I think I ruined it. But guys, what do you think? Was this at least him hinting he wanted a date? Or am I imagining things?
